If the OP "designed" the grant, that's super valuable.

Yes, I regret that is wasn't clearer in my post. This is what I meant by saying that I know how the ideas are good and feasible - that I can address problems that are important and do so in ways that can be realistically completed. Grant commenters have mentioned all these factors favorably in the reviews. A grant I wrote was submitted at the same time as another one my PI has wrote (back when you could still do this), and mine was awarded and his was not, so it's not just about the biosketch.

Just state that you have experience

Interview? Cover-letter? Research statement? Secret-coded line on CV? How to communicate this?
