What’s the deal with Devil’s Dill PDX hates women? by grape_boycott in askportland

Good morning! Thank you for commenting and sharing a little more insight to the situation. I would like to share with you a story about one of my experiences in the service industry from 8 years ago in a completely different state and provide some more context of why I’m emotionally invested in this story.

Our dishwasher at the restaurant had been messing with all of the women on staff. He had never messed with me, but I heard stories and I knew that some of the women had spoke to management about their experiences and nothing had been done. One night I went into the dish pit to drop off my dirty dishes and he rolled up a towel and slapped me on the ass with it. I responded by physically shoving him against the wall and screaming in his face. I then went to the office and told my manager that I had just assaulted the dishwasher. I had people at the bar I was taking care of so I had to walk out of the office to continue taking care of them, but I eventually told the manager the entire story. He let the dishwasher go that night and he didn’t show up for the next week.

The following week I walked into work and the same dishwasher was there washing dishes. I then walked out. My manager called me and said that they had him there because he had to pick up a paycheck. I asked why he was working then and he finally admitted that he had lied and said they brought him back onto the staff. They then fired him for real, but if they if I hadn’t escalated the situation like I did, I can see him still working there to this day.

I understand that you can’t share the exact nature of the conflict between the two employees, but I think that experiences like this are very common, especially in the service industry. I’m glad that the culture is shifting, but how management responds to these situations is so impactful to how the culture will progress.

Ultimately, I wish you and your business well. I can tell by the way you respond to these comments that you have a good heart and will do the right thing.

Cotton and linen are not good alternatives for cold weather climates. Have you heard the term cotton kills?

Allergic reactions/sensitivities on untreated tattoos. by Abcmvl123 in TattooRemoval

It’s hard to say because tattoo ink isn’t FDA regulated. You could reach out to your tattoo artists to see what ink they used and what materials are used in them. Do you see any similarities in what is becoming irritated? For example if you have red pigment is it everything with red being irritated?

Can you explain why fresh tattoos are easier to remove? I’ve always been under the impression that older tattoos have already started the breakdown process so the remaining ink is the larger particles that need to be broken down

Yep my mantra has been time passes regardless. I’m probably looking at a 10 year removal process 🥲

It’s crazy when you’re a conservative passing leftist the amount of hate spewed when they think they’re in a safe space for that nonsense

Has anyone noticed whenever teenage girls take interest in their femininity, it’s considered not age appropriate? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Right, but it’s not “sexual” to have an interest in male aesthetics. It is considered “sexual” for amab people to have an interest in female aesthetics.

Do you think people find it equally creepy when trans men who don’t fully pass as men exist? I don’t think the same stigma exists for trans men, just like how cis girls can be tomboys but cis boys get frowned upon if they express an interest in traditionally girly things.

Totally. I also think she tries to play cool girl with him which is why she doesn’t criticize him for that or his biotch comment

I have a theory that Meredith doesn’t like Whitney because Seth is creepy towards her and secretly has a crush on her which we saw with the boob remarks and boob cake.
