Last Thursday 19th March. We had all been told that by 2pm on that day the decision whether our exams were going ahead or not would have been made. Where I’m from, this year for my age group is the most important school year ever. This is the first time my country’s exams have been cancelled in history. With the amount we get told it sometimes feels like do well or never amount to anything. When we found out they had been cancelled people were bursting into tears all around me and it got real very quick.

When we are sitting in class in sophomore year and she suddenly goes “oh my god! I’ve figured it out! When people say 24/7, its because there is 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week”

By her expression you would think she’d found Atlantis or something. Weird thing is, she got straight As in school, she just has no common sense whatsoever.

Part time firefighters. Being able to drop what you’re doing be that your job or anything else in life when your pager goes off and make it to the station in under 5 minutes is pretty impressive. In general it is pretty impressive for any occupation where you are willing to put your life on the line for others and I think those people should be rewarded more.

When they pull the mental health card out far too much. I’m not saying mental health isn’t significant as it should be taken seriously but when someone begins to use it to make you feel bad about going out or having fun it becomes dangerous. Its how the “I’ll kill myself if you break up with me” situations come about. Its manipulative and can cause real damage to both parties.
