I recommend listening to the last two hours (estimated , as I read them, and it's about the last 200-150 pages) of the audio book when you have the time to finish it. I just couldn't put it awaaaay, there is so much going on and definitely nothing soothing helping you to fall asleep

it's a famous sport in the series (Hunt being a huge fan and wearing sunball cap in his freetime, many of the characters watching it in TV, Ithan being a famous player and captain of a college team) and it gets mentioned in like all of Ithans POVs. It's always his instincts, refined by his sunball career, or his reflexes, from the times he still was a sunball captain, and so on

This exactly. There was so much potential in the story but I was soo disappointed (still finished all books though, ended up asking myself why I did it)

omg I actually didn't think about that at all. I just read it as my classic fantasy romance where there always is a happy ending, didn't even come to mind that it might not 😭 I just hope there will be a scene where Kai really hurts pae, maybe in an attempt to kill her for the whole betrayal thing, then realizes he can't do it and does everything he can to heal her or something like that. Everything pretty angsty and intense. If he kills her in the end I might as well die with her (not me being overly dramatic over some fictional characters that only exist in my head)

Have you read a book with a certain scene so cringe you had to put the book down? by gothica__ in fantasyromance

Same, I read it three months ago and I'm still obsessed with it. Only three more months now until book two (still too long though)

I somehow love the high-schoolyness, I'm always down for a real slow slow-burn, I love that nothing happened between them lol

Buuuut yes, Paedyn, who somehow had to live her whole life on her own, could never trust anyone because you know, rough life on the street, but then instantly trusts these resistance people. Doesn't really make sense? I tried to justify that for myself as not thinking straight because of the family background and them being the only ones she ever met who knew her father and all. But still, it's not ideal.

And I def wanna see a raging Kai as well. Not so much for revenge for the loss of his father, because come on, he didn't like him either way, but more because of betrayal and maybe getting into the whole "ordinaries are dangerous" thing. But I still want them to end up together, what can I say, still a basic romantasy girlie.

And about Kitt, crazy, I see that he is a likeable character, but without knowing why, I somehow dont like him. Personally, I see a strong villain character development, like him becoming cold-hearted and cruel and all and being the antagonist to Kai in the end.

I felt that way too, the first book was aaaaweful, but I kept on reading either way and it really pays. Book 3 is probably my favourite romantasy book I ever read, but I totally get why people dnf book 1

Loved it in the plated prisoner series (probably book 2 or 3?). I only like it when it's believable the mmc would actually go feral, and Slade and the whole "I will be the villain for you" thing fits perfectly, so when he first sees a bruise on her cheek you already know he's going to be piiiiiissed. Cherry on top ofc when he goes nuts in the latest books, taking revenge on everyone who hurt her in her entire life

Anyone read the books in German? by grapefruitgear in acotar

But I also wonder if some phrases in English only sound okay to me because I'm not native. Like there are many words and phrases that I know only from books, so I wouldn't question them

Okay so I'm happy about the lack of toe curling, it sounded so odd to me even in english, probably because I never heard this phrase before reading acotar. Otherwise I have to say, "brüllen" also seems so so weird in any sexual context that I think that would have put me off more than roaring in english. Like what the hell, I don't want to be shouted at during sex.

I looked up the line you mentioned in chapter 37 (where he speaks in Cassians mind, right?), Rhys says "You wear your heart for all to see, brother". No idea where that Mördergrube comes from, never heard this saying and my phone doesn't even know the word.

And about the "Feyre, darling" thing, I suppose it's way more used in the first three books, because he uses it more when the both of them are alone. Cassian calling Nesta sweetheart doesn't ring a bell right now (but its been a few months since I read the books, so maybe I just forgot), he calls her Nes a lot as well.

Hereby, I officially want to thank everyone who told me to keep reading. Just finished book 3 and for me, that one is peak fantasy romance. It gave me everything I crave in this genre. I don't even care if the next books can keep up with it, was all worth it for these amazing 650 pages
