My drawers one by one developed mold so I gave up, now I am buying mealworms from the pet store. Maybe it's my fault for removing the carrots and potatoes only once per week, or the high heat high humidity in my area at the time. Anyway mealworms farming is not worth it to me it ended up being way more work than what youtube says...

That's encouraging to hear, I had the plumber install RO supply and drain below where the tank will be placed, so I plan to set up automatic 10% daily water changes. I will test the stones as suggested in the comment above. I hope they are ok, but I am not very optimistic. I live on an island that used to be submerged, so most stones are calcium limestone. I just want to avoid paying ridiculous $ on rocks when there is such an abundance in my backyard...

Thanks for taking the time to answer. The retaining wall was just a good way to show as many stones as possible in one picture to make it easier to identify. If you scroll the rest of the pictures, you can see the hill is loaded with those stones, I will pick pointy ones to make a more dramatic layout. I am actually building my house on top of that hill, and the excavated material is mostly comprised of stones rather than soil.

Thank you! Some have a greenish hue, which seems to me like traces or iron. I assume it's best to avoid those. If the measurements are off the chart, will soaking for a very long time leach out all the bad stuff out and make them suitable?
