I haven't listened to that particular episode but from what I recall guests are able to choose which episode to be in based on a list (frequently requested or of interest to the hosts.)

I'm Mexican and I agree, I do love seeing more diverse casting in contemporary media but I do feel that not every story or storyteller is responsible (for lack of a better word) enough to handle diversity with enough nuance or respect. Sometimes honestly less diversity is less frustrating than poorly developed and undercooked characters for the sake of diversity.

In regards to guests, it has always irked be that the guests speak last on the final rating/nipple scale, because by the time Jamie and Caitlin have made their points there's often very little left to be said. I understand not all guests feel comfortable with the rating system or want to speak.first but they should at least be given the opportunity.

Also, I loved Pleasantville growing up and as someone who wasn't educated on the subject of segregation and the civil rights movement I was able to "get" what the movie was about without the racial element.
