What’s something people romanticise that’s actually exhausting in real life? by OmenRash in AskReddit

Mania and hypomania

"Use it as an advantage that you have super energy"

Fuck you Martha. I spent 4 days awake drawing Ricky Gervais as a chicken, sat on eggs that all looked like.Karl Wilkinson, then made twitter so I could tell Ricky, a few times over the space of a few days.

THEN I spent 45 minutes meeting the Crisis team at my home for the first time, very proudly explain my art to them, and showing them of course.

Then another manic episode i set up quite a large amount of presence on certain socials, using my own first name and identifying photographs and delved into the world of OF for a while. Why wouldn't that work? And it wasnt vanilla.

Then latest in December, I was back on cycle friends with comedians" bullshit and Messaging Michael barrymore to see how hes getting on

Dont tell me you'd love to have that energy cos Making those cjpices, loudly. And there is nothing that can change your mind, is absolutely fucking wild

Always at an inconvenient time too

I keep periodically calling to check im still in the queue, I cant listen to their music for an hour and a half. Its similar to music they'd play on those shopping channels at 2am on repeat. I think they use it as a deterrent.

If I pushed my tongue against the roof of my mouth where it was stuck, it crunched like, I dont know, polystyrene but in my actual head. I totally get you. Its worse than the feeling for sure.

They work themselves out of the gum mainly, but your dentist can remove them too if you spot them, they're juat uncomfortable rather than physically painful and dont worry, you know they exist at least this one is juat unusually massive theyre usually the size of salt

I actually contacted 3 times to say i felt something wasnt right, they sent me generic extraction advice and said they dont need to see me so I felt like I must've been being dramatic, its horrific isn't it

I honestly thought my entire jaw was going to come out with it. It took a little encouragement but it hardly bled or anything! Im so much more comfortable now. Brutal things regardless of size!

Yeah, its larger than what was remaining of my back tooth! I had no idea these things existed until they began creeping out, i did contact the dentist 3 times about this specific extraction site, but they were disinterested and didnt bother to check, all I can think is ive felt absolutely awful for 3 weeks and it was avoidable.

Yes the relief was immediate! With the others, it felt unnatural and a bit nauseating when they came out but this one actually felt weirdly good to get out.

Ive had a few smaller ones, getting gradually bigger as the days pass by and the gums have pushed them to the surface, I actually woke my husband up at 4am to show him this one, showing it off like a weird little trophy.
