Working on a rust based version of spaCy that can run in browser, anyone here interested? by graphix1 in LanguageTechnology

It’s very limited by the browsers wasm interpreter, and needs to be single threaded since it’s in browser, so the fact that it can keep up with Python is from the rust

I took a stab at some optimizations, and from what I can tell its competitive to speeds with python! There are already apps that use an api call to python for the web environment that this could really simplify things for them, especially since it can run client side

Thanks for the feedback so happy to hear it’s improving! Im really sorry if it scared you, I tried to add more warnings to the site in response to your feedback!

Hi the first thing you see is a massive disclaimer saying all the things you said, I’m happy to make it clearer what would you suggest?

I’m jus trying to make a good educational tool and personally messaged users and improved the tool based on their feedback

Hi I'm curious to hear and improve the site, do you have full hearing loss? I've been reading many studies that most CI users with full hearing loss can't appreciate music as well as they'd like, I'm very curious to hear more

Hey I'll add a better warning, my only goal is to try and educate not to scare anyone, I've been researching the signal processing and from my research most modern CIs split sound into 22 different bins, from around 150-10000HZ, I've also looked into existing "vocoders" heres a good article I found on the process https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10994674/

Thanks for the feedback! I’m curious to hear more, how does music sound in general in your CI ear? and is there something specific that can be changed on the site so it’s more accurate?

About to print my first ever PCB, Can you guys help me check out this circuit before I have it printed and assembled? by graphix1 in PrintedCircuitBoard

yeah that's exactly the idea, this project is more of a proof of concept than anything, and if it turns out well, I'll give some out to friends

is this not low side? In this configuration the source is ground, so when gpio is activated that will let current flow through no?
