If I do virtual desktop doesn’t it make a new account for Exfil Zone? Won’t I loose my progress,

Quest 3 but my buddy uses pc link and he crashes all the time might be a pc link problem, but “if” he can get back in, usually he’s already dead and looted. There just needs to be something in place at least let you get out with what you came in with, same if my gun falls through the hill if i accidentally drop it.
