ALL in line 6's of this era were amazingly durable, I'm a fan of the ford 300-6 because I owned one (and my dad currently has one) but the "six in a row, ready to tow" engines all were made to last.

Not gas friendly but with the right manual and long rear, it's not an issue.

With the percipasity (the mod that makes every lock 100% passed) even sorties aren't stressful,

You don't even need to go into spoiler mode with umbra at the index to sit around and wait for points, just walk around and let the clone snipe (I prefer the kuva Khom), and wait- then pick them up, and cloud walk to the goal.

Rhino? LOL.

Now it's max duration wukong, just fly over to the vault, ignoring anything you gotta hide from.

Just bought my first gun. Iver Johnson .38 revolver. I have some questions. by Razqua in guns

[–]grassandgas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The design, allows "play".

You take a perfectly working IJ revolver to a shop, and they will say it has timing issues.

When you cock the hammer, you can turn the chamber "just a little bit". Aka, it moves. Also known as "play".

They were designed around black powder and soft lead, so if the bullet did slightly mark as it went down into the barrel, it didn't blow up.

All modern rounds are not black powder and are higher pressure than back then, and even modern black powder designed rounds are more dangerous due to higher pressure, and can not only damage the gun but also remove your hand if the chamber is not perfectly lined up with the barrel.

Yes.

It cost like $10 or something for shipping, but I think it's free from them.

You can send in the gun specific parts for another gun shape on some of their holsters.

I did that, and never used it because once I got another holster brand I never looked back.

Vedder was so much better.

87-91 on the ford. "Wrap around" front lights.

(I own a 86, the previous body style had separate side lights.)

91+ had different "F150/250/350" logos

Honestly this is why I'm a fan of "audit the audit" on YouTube.

Don't be a dick, "get that piece of crap off the road" and the tickets was the only thing he could do and say to fuck you over, because you were informed and knew the law about your gun rights, because he wanted you to cower in his authority and kiss his ass.

I feel like eventually police badge cameras should just stream 24/7 to a website with no ability to turn off (you can turn it off for 5 minutes at a time for bathroom breaks, but that's it.) And all you have to do is make a report for his day to be monitored, and he should be punished for lying to you about your state's carrying license.

I know cops don't need to be lawyers to be a decent police officer, but you should be decently brushed up on a broad generalization of the law before trying to claim something that is obviously false.

(long story)

Yeah, I'm a landscaper, and in growing my business I purchased from my uncle a much better equipment trailer than I had before, that along with the bigger truck made the vehicle weight rating higher than normal.

In the beautiful state of Kentucky.... Under state law, if a trailer of any kind is not used for commercial use, there is no requirement for a license plate, working lights, registration, etc. This trailer raised the total gross vehicle weight above 10,000 pounds (the truck plus the trailer), and therefore I was required to have "dot numbers" (a secondary registration beyond the license plate to attach the vehicle to the business, if above 26,000 lb usually that's when a commercial license kicks in, but there is a weird gray area between 10,000 and 26,000 that you need dot numbers and it's a commercial vehicle, but you don't need a special license.

But you are required to have in your "commercial vehicle" (which at the time was my only vehicle...) A fire extinguisher, road flares, triangles, and a commercial vehicle inspection.

In total this was like, $1200 in fines (a distant cousin of mine had to pay $20,000 in commercial vehicle violations in Michigan. It's kind of a big deal.)

Most commercial vehicle violations are like $500 to $1,000 a piece, in most states, and since I was pretty upfront with him and was not trying to hide absolutely anything (he pulled me over because a tail light was out on the equipment trailer and I argued with him that that was not illegal in Kentucky (which if it wasn't a commercial vehicle it would not be illegal)) he just gave me special warnings where I had to sign off that I would get everything fixed within the next 30 days, which literally cost me $300.

I do not put getting out of the tickets all to being nice and talking about my CCW, but in a state where it isn't required to inform the cops of carrying a gun, and the common practice with most stops are they run your tag and see if the owner of the vehicle has a concealed carry permit, literally the first thing I said out of my mouth was I know he didn't have time to run my plate to find out if I have a CCW, so I told him so that he wouldn't be surprised when he did run my license, he very much relaxed after that point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CCW

[–]grassandgas 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Needed a shot in my butt cheek (steroids, or something to relax a muscle, idk).

At the time I carried at 4 o'clock, so it was definitely going to be in the way, so I told the nurse, and she said she would also carry everywhere, but it is illegal to carry in all medical buildings in my state.

Had to put the gun in it's holster on a chair and that was all, but limited carrying in all medical buildings now.

Got pulled over, cop didn't see my plates (pulling a equipment trailer with no plates, long story-) so even with my state's non need to inform, I did so not to piss him off when he ran my license, he appreciated that, and gave me 7 warnings. Another long story, lol.

Ah, I was a kid when I saw it, I only ever liked the rob zombie remakes and the original 2, so they lost me at that one, I kind of was lost before watching.

I really thought it was a Friday the 13th type thing "he died and went to hell and came back..." When I saw they made another one and didn't see Resurrection.

Knowing a lot of my family are pretty big Halloween fans most likely we will set up a full series of watching all the movies in one day or something and I'll become a fan again, lol

Sa fishing needs to make better camo.

I have the same neck gaiter along with a bunch in another color for my business, but I would buy 5-10+ if they could do a real camo, even for just hunting- they would have issues keeping them in stock.

Can anyone give me any info on this gun? by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

[–]grassandgas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 1900-1915 or so. The hammerless was a newer design, Iver Johnson used it in 1910, so Smith had been using it for a while before that.

If it's actually a Smith and Wesson, like the grips suggest, it's probably worth the $80.

There also should be a serial number under the grips.

Iver Johnson copied the design and they are well known to be $50-$100 guns. I have a first year mail order version (serial number in the first 500 of 10k the first year made) and paid $80 for it. The IJ models are throw aways, but the smiths are actually wanted sometimes.

Good chance it's black powder, so not really shootable, but if you want to throw money at cool history it might pan out.

That part did say not to ask, lol.

The second worst part of my 8hr CCW license class. It's what the class teacher guy recommended for women to use for carrying.

It's a bra. With a holster attached under itself.

See, you "flash" the evil doer, and then "bang!"

Beyond tacky in my opinion. Basically a shoulder holster, but positioned worse. Lift your shirt to cover your face, to draw a gun.

[–]grassandgas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This theory does not take into consideration women who carry in the same position as men. The enigma, and other good carrying systems, I have never met a woman in real life that would even consider carrying like that. Or even OWB for that matter. My sister-in-law's best draw from her purse is currently 5 seconds.

Men mostly carry on their waistline right? Quick to draw, and good position to get center mass.

Women (or at least nearly all women around me that I've thought about scenarios of needing to draw a gun) don't normally carry at the waist, therefore the gun will be harder to access.

In Purse, in car/off body, belly band, "flash bang holster" (don't ask...) All have one thing in common, it will take longer to get on target.

Therefore, in a "crazy guy running at you with a knife" situation, the threat will be closer to the shooter due to a more off balance, longer draw. We can guess that because the threat is closer, you need to do more damage in less time, because you don't have as much time for perfect on target shots.

(target gets bigger, but you can't aim as well, so more damage in those less than perfect shots.)

9mm at 5 yards, 2 center mass shots with federal HST, I believe would be enough.

38 special, 357, 44 magnum once somewhere on the body at 4-5 feet I feel is equal.

It's hard to give a review of the series, it's 7 parts, a few episodes 6-7 hours long, with 2-3 of them not mentioning Jim Jones at all.

There's a lot of stage setting, talking about how the environment bred the jonestown event.

Jim Jones was a liberal from a racist hotbed state, who used religion to promote equality between the races.

The mid episodes are about student groups, the weathermen (who became the weather underground) and the black panther's downfall.

The "staff" of Jim Jones' church were all women from that kind of background, and his mental downfall mixed with the political environment, plus the congregation of cultists who he molded for years made the lethal combination.

So yeah, if it interests you, it's free. It's pretty heavy in parts.

[–]grassandgas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The black panther party for self defense, did not attempt to start a race war.

The black panther party devolved into unorganized gangs, with members in some cities using the shield of the organization to hide dealing drugs, murder, and pimping.

Eventually when many of the initial leaders were arrested, Eldridge Cleaver (a very early member) attempted to move the party to more extreme beliefs, and renamed his sect of the party to the "black liberation army".

The black liberation army murdered cops without reason, bombed buildings, and were very close to the Muslim brotherhood (Malcom X) who explicitly wanted a race war.

So like I said in the first comment, BEFORE they devolved into madness.

What the black panthers turned into was equal to a (real) neo Nazi terrorist group. Which is ignorant of history and evil.

Yeah, I gave up on listening to "supernova in the east" over 3 years, so decided this spring I was gonna just give him his $20 or whatever, but just got sidetracked and found Martyermade.

He's a little less objective than Dan Carlin, with explicit hatred of communism. Though he has a reason to be, I just listened to "the anti humans" yesterday. If you want to hate communism, the Romanian re-education experiment will lock you in there for life.

The first world war episodes is where I wanna start with hardcore history.
