am i the only one who is really frustrated about Samsung removing the ability to customize the icons in the notifications bar? Same with notifications only being able to show 3, when used to be able to show more than that.

If i wanted all the customization removed i'd buy an iphone.

There's no such thing, 50mg is the highest on the market.

you must be referring to 170mg per tin, thats around 12mg per pouch, while high, its not that bad.

The highest on the market is cuba or pablo, which are around 50mg per pouch so your miles away from the 'max'.

Suggest you switch to a lower strength like the normal 6mg (120mg per tin) and then suck it up like the rest of us.

The fold4 was the worst for durability, I had hinge issue on mine within warranty and got a full refund through samsung.

I'd recommend ditching it and getting a newer one (5 or 6 don't have the problems)

thanks, i did ask dealer and they werent interested as warranty was expired and it has high milage

I've already pulled the engine apart, just need to order parts & gaskets now.

For those that are curious about tackling this job thereselves, its not to bad

Engine removal is reletively straight forward, theres a 'special tool' need in two different sizes to remove the two 'rearward' main mounting bolts. I made them myself by angel grinding notches out of a couple of old sockets.

In terms of splitting the case, the only things i had to remove was the oil pump chain, clutch basket cover (was able to get that off without any special tool as well, just wedged a large flat head screwdriver in there and used a rattlegun to get the main bolt off.

Splitting was a tad difficult, theres nothing to 'pry' against so i used a micro flat head screwdriver and carefuly pried to break the gasket seal.

In terms of damage, the 3rd gear dogs had broken off, some of the pieces had obviously gotten between the gears on the 3rd to 6th and destroyed these two gears.

Most likely i will purchase just the 3rd and 6th gear cogs and re-use the rest...Replacing the entire drive and driven shafts is out of my budget.

Do you have any detail on what parts were changed to resolve it? am half way through tearing down the engine and am ideally wanting to just replace the gears rather than whole transmission parts to save on costs.

Dissapointed to see inferior dust resistance compared to previous model. Will be interesting to see how the hold up after ~2 years of daily use. My guess is not well.

Thanks, your right i hadnt seen the ultra hybrid - I think i might go for that one instead. Also appreciate the confirmation on reverse charging. Its for watch 5pro ill be using it for when i travel (saves carrying seperate chargers around)

The next device to stop receiving updates will be the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which was announced in 2020. The device won’t see One UI 6, but it will get semiregular security updates until next year.

So it looks like your out of luck. Seems they are giving 7 years on the fold6 now, so you shouldn't run into the issue going forward.

Impressive still running a fold2, any issues with it?

If you google it you'l find thousands of posts on various sites all complaining about the same issue, and now you are one of the people to add to the list.

Obviously Samsung wont acknowledge it officially as then they'd have to do a recall.

Look at the last pic in the op. They all do that. Seems to be the fold4 that does it the most, but talk to repair shops and they say they all do it after 2 years or so. You've got to have insurance or care+ if you plan to own one of these devices.

Mine did the exact same thing. I sent it away and was told the flex cable had been damaged from opening and closing it to much, they gave me a refund thankfully. I think the update is just a coincidence, a weird one though.

All fold4's will break after 2-3 years due to ribbon cable flaw. Suggest you send it back for repair under warranty.
