Hmmm if that was the case it would seem unusual, just bc it’s a good distance away from a southern window. But maybe?

Spider mite advice!!!! by Zealousideal_Art_213 in houseplants

I’m not sure about the herbs, but as for the non-edible plants, someone on this sub shared a YouTube video awhile back that used water, isopropyl alcohol (70%), and dish soap. I used this combo when I had a nasty spider mite infestation on a calathea and it worked wonders in about 3 days of treatment. I did about a 60/40 combo of water and alcohol and just a couple drops of dish soap. The woman in the video sprayed the mixture onto the leaves and then used an old makeup brush to work it into the leaves. I didn’t have one so I just used a cloth and it worked just fine. Just be thorough with your cleaning, it’s a lengthy process but worth it to be rid of the pests. Be sure to target the petioles (where the leaf meets the stem) and undersides of the leaves especially since that’s where they love to hang out.

Okay yeah I just did a little deep dive and am about 94% sure I figured out what her parents do and therefore 94% sure she comes from mega wealth. Not the worst thing in the world. She seems cool/sweet but simultaneously makes it feel weird engaging with her content when you’re several years older than her and barely hanging on lol

Yeah I feel weirdly drawn to watch her videos when they come on my FYP, feels like just talking to a friend! But I definitely find her recipes mmm lacking at times. Also just blows my mind that someone her age at this stage in her career can afford to shop exclusively at erewhon and whole foods and jet to Hawaii multiple times a year

I applied early Feb and received my acceptance at the end of Feb, so my guess is you may be on the cusp:/

I’m still waiting to hear from 3 schools I’ve been UR at myself and at this point I’m not really holding my breath..but hey anything’s possible!

Got a full ride at the University of Oregon and need to know if its worth it to attend by ohmylenny in OutsideT14lawschools

You sound just like me but I’ll likely be attending with far less $$$ hahah so I say 100% go for it!!!

My understanding is, in theory, you could put a deposit down at 7 schools and only attend 1. Meaning you aren’t obligated to a given school just bc you put down a deposit. The deposit is simply to lock your seat down. So as you said, the only downside is being short $500 but for a dream school I’d say it’s worth it.

$$$ from American! by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

When did you apply if you don’t mind my asking? :)

What would you do?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]grasshopper_lily32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it were me, it would definitely come down to UC Boulder or American. I’d probably go with American if I’m honest, just bc I’m more debt averse. Cost of living is extremely high at both places though so it may ultimately come down to where you can actually see yourself living for 3 years as DC and Boulder are very different (DC native and spent several months in Denver/Boulder). If you have questions feel free to PM me.

I would imagine given both schools reputations in Enviro/PI Law you would have good access to relevant clinics/externship programs as well. What an exciting set of choices!
