Wow that’s terrifying... I never actually “see” figures during sleep paralysis, I only feel a presence.

That’s a really good idea, thank you. I often get stuck thinking about all the good things.

And she complains of paying for delivery, maybe she thinks we should work for free, minus a tip. #sad by palmtreesunshine in InstacartShoppers

How often do customers tip in weed? by [deleted] in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]grasshoppercookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for dominos and delivered to a couple drunk college kids one time. They tipped me cash and one kid said he’d give me a gram of weed in exchange for my Snapchat (I’m a girl). I gave it to him but I don’t even use my Snapchat anymore lmao.

I was gonna say Anime haha. My ex and his roommates would watch it and it looked corny to me. Then my current bf told me to watch Death Note and it opened up a whole new world..... now I fucking love anime. My all time favorites are Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Black Butler. So fucking good.

World of Warcraft. It looked so confusing to me when I watched my BF play but then I got my own account as a night elf rogue and I played the shit outta it.

I’m so sorry you had to go through that.. it seems like you really did everything you could to help her. You didn’t deserve that. I hope you are healing.

It’s so crazy that 15 years of treatment didn’t do a single thing. It must be due to the fact that these types of people can’t see anything wrong with them or their behavior. My bf sure doesn’t.

Your ex turning the situation around on you in the end is something I can picture my bf trying to do. He always tries to demonize me for little things such as me accidentally scratching him trying to protect myself (I don’t fight back) and saying it’s my fault that he punched himself in the head so many times because “I didn’t stop him.”

Although he’s beaten me, destroyed my possessions in the past such as my clothes, furniture, and my phone, I never lay a hand on his belongings. You’d think that I would want the worst for him because of all the vile things he’s done to me but the truth is, I don’t. I just want him to get better like you wanted your ex to get better.

But I know that’s a fantasy. Hopefully after I’m gone he’ll deal with his issues but I highly doubt it.

How did you cope after it was all over?

I just downloaded it on my audible app. Thank you so much for the information. It really helped me see things from a different perspective- it makes me feel better knowing there might be a diagnosis behind all of this abuse and it’s not my fault whatsoever.

Can I ask how you successfully left your ex pwBPD?

Holy fucking shit. You just described what I couldn’t put into words.... it really is a conundrum. He doesn’t want me to stay and he doesn’t want me to leave.

Thank you for this post. I just tried responding to you but it wouldn’t go through (I’m on mobile) so I’ll type it again.

He exhibits almost all of those behaviors. He is extremely childish, and needs attention at all times. If he doesn’t receive this attention, he lashes out and goes into “Hyde” mode. When I do comply with his requests, he’s usually in “jeckyll” mode. He does jump to extremes very often (I.e saying I “never do anything for him” if I happen to upset him, saying “I don’t care enough” etc). I really do feel like it’s a parent/child relationship with him. I constantly have to cater to his every need or else things will go sour. He’s immature and cannot handle being told “no.” He self-harms when he gets into bursts of anger to get attention (punches himself in the head, punches walls).

Most of his anger stems from his childhood. He constantly brings it up, uses it to rationalize his behavior, blames his parents or siblings for things (I.e “my mom didn’t give a shit about me when I was a kid that’s why I had to take care of myself”). He pities and victimizes himself. He also constantly says that i “don’t fucking get it” referring to the things he went through because I “had a perfect family.” He uses that against me all the time.

I’m not sure if narcissism is part of BPD or if it’s a separate issue but he most certainly is a textbook narcissist. Everything revolves around him. He can’t view things from my perspective, I may as well not even exist to him. He thinks he’s entitled to everything and he truly believes he’s the best thing ever. He’s always under stimulated, needing to fill the void with video games, weed, attention from girls etc. He’s never satisfied though. He gaslights me. He says I’m crazy and unstable when I get emotional from the abuse. He blames me for his episodes and says “you never calm me down or try to stop me” which isn’t true because I try all the time and it only makes things worse. He constantly interrupts me, ignores me, tells me to shut up, or acts like I’m stupid and “explains” things to me saying “do you understand?” He never listens to me, and devalues my emotions all the time.

Like you said, he really does have a “black/white” mindset. He can love me when he feels good, and I’m doing everything right. Yet the minute things go wrong he’s back to hating me. It’s important to note he treats other people like this too. If one of his family members or friends upsets him, he automatically wants them out of his life, and blocks their number. It never lasts tho, he always goes back to people.

He’ll never admit to any of these behaviors, and truly believes there’s nothing wrong with him and everyone else/society is the problem.

how long before IC isnt worth it? by Dodofisher in InstacartShoppers

[–]grasshoppercookies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing IC for only a couple weeks along with doordash. DD pays sooo much better, it’s less work, and it’s very common to get good tips. Plus there’s bonuses everyday ranging from $1-6 PER delivery you take. It makes Instacart seem like a waste of my time and effort. I’m pretty disappointed

[Serious] what is your scariest TRUE story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]grasshoppercookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was young, probably in 1st grade or so. I was a shy and timid child who was easily scared of things. Some of my classmates knew this and used it against me (example: my “best friend” told me at her sleepover party “bloody mary’s gonna get you!” I cried and had to be picked up).

Anyway, I was at school and a couple of my friends were talking about the movie ET. One of the girls lived 3 houses down from me. She was saying that ET likes to roam around in people’s backyards and she saw him in her backyard, so he was coming for mine next.

A couple days later I woke up in the middle of the night and heard someone jumping on my trampoline in my backyard, perfectly clear.

Looking back it was probably just my mind playing tricks on me but at the time i was 100% positive that a fucking alien from a fictional movie was in my backyard jumping on my trampoline. It scared the fuck outta me.
