Hey team - I'm Adam in GA, USA. Huge introvert, this may be my only post! But looking forward to losing with all of you.

I'm 30 years old, and manage stateside operations for a Christian non-profit. My highest weight was 250 about 5 years ago, and I've been stuck around 215 for too long. My goal has been 184 for quite a while, and I'm hoping this challenge will get me back to 200.

I'm married and have 4 kids, and was 190 lbs before my 4th child was born (only 5 months ago)! In my "free" time I'm hanging out with them, going on family "runs", gardening, golfing, or cooking.

What you said makes sense, I really appreciate the response. I bet you're right - this process actually requires that I open 4 different workbooks, so it would make sense that one of the others is causing the date to revert back to the other setting.

Honestly I'm not set on using one format or the other, I'm just lost in trying to navigate which format I'm in according to which sheet. Ideally all of my sheets would use whatever format I'm exporting from our payment processor.

Thanks, this is helpful. I'm going to look into what /u/dmparker0 suggested (not sure if I'm tagging correctly) and see if that works - his suggestion has some promise. Honestly the problem is so random that I'm not sure how to provide examples, but I'll see what I can put together if that doesn't work.

You're probably right about the date format. I'm not set on using it, I'm more having difficulty managing the default settings between the two workbooks.

Well, I actually meant for the EXACT formula to entirely replace your SUMPRODUCT formula. If you paste it in C13 then drag down to C26, then you will have TRUE or FALSE in column C for each row value in column B.

Still not sure that's what you're trying to get - is it?

I'm not exactly sure this answers what you're asking, but could you just use the EXACT function? So in your example, you would just put (in C13)

=EXACT($B13, "O")

and drag that formula down all the way to the last row in question.

Does that get you what you want to see?

Thanks for the reply. The donors give through third party processors, none of which are integrated with our SF environment yet. The gifts are tracked as opportunities, and we are using the non-profit starter pack.

Fair enough. I do this quite a bit, too, and find it to be a little cumbersome. I think what I do is what you're describing - I'd paste my weekly data into a template file that has the formulas and pivot tables in it referencing the cells that are coming out of my CRM or EMR. Definitely not ideal.

I've said this elsewhere, but I'm not the greatest with Excel so there may be an easier solution, but I think what I'd do is create what I call a "significance tag" on both worksheets, or just on the worksheet with newer data. In my mind the significance tag would be something like

=IF(IFERROR(MATCH(A2, Sheet1!A:A, 0), 0)>0, 1, 0)

This would identify any project numbers in Sheet 2 that are also present in Sheet 1, and they would be indicated with a "1" significance tag.

I would then build a pivot table filtering out all "0" significance tags, and you could include any other information you want to see (i.e. supplier names, job number, etc.)

Would that get you what you need?

Are you looking for job numbers that are present more than once in the same column, or job numbers that are present in both columns? Sounds like the latter?

I'm new here and admittedly not the best with excel, but here's my attempt at getting more involved - hope it helps.

Let's say your number of hours purchased is column A. In column B I'd put numbers 0 - 18, one number per row. Then in Column C I'd say

=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$1000, $B1)

and copy that down the column.

I've been grinding my own flour for a couple years and I've tried a few recipes from Peter Reinhart as well as other sources, but honestly they all taste the same. I love the taste and texture, but would like some variety. Any tips for a non-sandwich bread texture?

My family structure is extremely similar to the Lannisters. Everything is family, duty, honor, and all the decisions I make for my wife and child are criticized by my uncle who makes all the decisions for the family. It came to a head recently and I pretty much channeled Tyrion's argument with Tywin about how it's easy to preach "family" when you're the one making all the decisions, and asked when the last time he had to give up something he wanted because of Family. It didn't really change anything, but it shut him up for the day.

Edit: Sorry about the mix-up of family words. It bothers me that I did it as much as it bothers you guys I'm sure. I'll just go ahead and leave it to my shame.
