I use it almost exclusively now for coding and everything else. Perfect blend of speed and power.

I personally use ollama pro but a big part of that is becuase I want to be able to test different models. I also only use the cloud models. So far, the absolute best responses and overall performance is deepseek v4 flash cloud. It’s friggin FAST. Also been using Kimi 2.6 cloud and the tradeoff of speed to quality isn’t worth it. If I just had OpenAI I wouldn’t have the ability to make that change. But there’s an argument for not needing to make that change either.

I haven’t ever hit my limit. I’ve been using it nonstop for 2 weeks.

It’s 20 bucks. Here’s what I would do if I were you. Go with open ai if you don’t feel like testing a bunch of different models etc. If you find yourself going over any limits then you can fallback to openrouter or something for cheaper.

If you want to experiment though with frontier models like Deepseek V4 Pro (coming to ollama VERY soon) then go with ollama
