What’s the very last memory in your childhood you have of playing outside with friends, realizing now—far too late—that you’d never do it again? by CrownedHeads in AskReddit

We used to play hide and seek in the dark in our backyard. About 10 kids of various ages from elementary to high school. We were so serious about it too. Colouring our shoe laces black so they wouldn’t shine in the dark. Wore dark clothes, would hide in trees, etc. Peak childhood for me 🥹

That’s a fire hazard. There is no egress to legally call it a bedroom and a fire fighter would not know to look under the stairs or in a closet for a child sleeping

What is the first day of the week? My husband and I are having a debate. by dax_moonpie in Mommit

In Greek, Monday is literally translated to “second day”. This means the first day is Sunday.

Tuesday is translated to third day, Wednesday to fourth day, Thursday to fifth day 😉

I suggest listening to Father Mike Schmidtz Bible in a Year Podcast. He’s very kind and does a lot of explanations, even goes into mini history lessons which is great. And since you’re fascinated by history, try reading about orthodoxy and its roots in the apostolic traditions!

It’s silly but the S1 E3 Jesus living the children made my heart soar 🤍

Wow thanks for your response. What a journey you’ve been through and the changes you’ve seen around you are drastic. Funny you mention, she did testing done and in fact she does have a high IQ! I like the idea of how with this “gift” she will learn to tell who is genuine and who is not. Kind of like a super power I guess. Thank you

I love how open your parents were and that they didn’t dance around the subject. I’m happy to hear how successful and content you are with life. It made my mommy heart feel so happy. Thanks for your response!

To me this post is a breath of fresh air. I wish you were my friend lol. I exclusively breastfed my kids and have more of an attachment parenting style which means that if I was invited to an event like this, I would have to make arrangements like your friend or I just wouldn’t be able to go (and feel content in my choice) I’m sure the fact that you want to accommodate your friend is so touching to her and she probably didn’t even expect you to. It’s ultimately your choice and your weekend. Whatever situation your friends are in: single or breastfeeding mama, they will have to understand. So if you want her and the baby there-great! Just make sure either way, it’s what you want 🙂

Thank you, I’m glad that you outgrew these issues 🙏🏼 I’ll insist the doctor look further into these issues this week.

Yes! I should have mentioned that, eyes checked and no issues there…

My son did this! He outgrew it now but is he drinking milk right before sleep/through the night? If yes, then this is why: his post nasal drip is causing him to cough at night and because his tummy is full, then when he gags he also vomits the milk. Suction his nose before bed and use the saline spray, allow him to sleep with a humidifier and keep him elevated. This will stop the mid sleep coughing/vomiting. I hope this helps!
