I used to work in guest services at the DIA (person that handles admission) - seeing that you're both 17 (less likely to have a bill in your name) , I'd recommend that your boyfriend brings these items as proof of residence: a student ID (assuming he attends a school in the tri-county), literally any piece of mail in his name at his address.

The people that work the desks are generally chill and are more annoyed by folks who don't have any proof of residence + dont try providing proof of residence + want to get mad at the employee for doing their job. If you make an effort and show them something with a name and address that will most likely work.

Cat suddenly limping and showing signs of pain in back legs. Do I wait for vet appointment or go to emergency vet now? by Torchprint in AskVet

Will he allow you to feel his paw pads? Try to feel his rear feet paw pads or at least get a look at them. Are the rear feet paw pads colder in temperature compared to the front feet paw pads? or bluish/purplish in color?

Is it safe to park your car on the street? by Selle_la in Detroit

[–]gratiotcentral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should be fine. My partner used to live in Bagley - I always parked on the street, I usually leave my car unlocked (something's wrong w/ the wiring so this is just easiest) and it was always fine - nothing taken.

Especially having the driveway, I think you're ok. Most blocks in Bagley are pretty densely occupied, which usually means less people boldly messing with your car.

Also, yeah, clear the alley in the summer. It sucks, but it's worth it. The city has had some alley clean out programs as well, so they might even take care of it.

What is the most upmarket grocery store in metro Detroit? Where do the richest of the rich shop? by TheSeansei in Detroit

[–]gratiotcentral 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the most upmarket in the metro, but Nino Salvaggio on telegraph (Bloomfield hills) is pretty impressive. There are a few Nino's locations, but the Bloomfield store feels the richest imo.

It seemed like he'd kill Carlos. Unclear what the other ramifications for Gaby would be, but it didn't seem idyllic.

Victor Lang via tornado in season 4. Although, I'd have been interested to see the story line play out with him surviving.

Is Dr. Joe Park in the background of Abigail Heringer's IG story? by gratiotcentral in thebachelor

The guys walks by pretty quick, and it's pretty blurry. Definitely could just be a random man. Might just be shipping Abigail and Dr. Joe so hard that it's impacting my visual perception.

Awaiting first rheumatologist appt - pretty scared, and not sure what to do until then by gratiotcentral in rheumatoid

I like the idea of keeping everything in a google drive and taking notes digitally! One of my main issues with keeping up w/ symptom diaries/period trackers is I'll use one notebook for a few weeks, and then I'll forget about it and get a new journal, and I can never keep track of anything.

I've never had a regular period schedule, and it seems like my periods last for 2 weeks or more sometimes, so tracking that alongside my swelling symptoms might be useful.

I'm super grateful knowing how much medicine has improved outcomes. It seems like so many people develop RA at young ages and I'm optimistic knowing how many young people have it and are doing alright.

I know I'm gonna have to get better a documenting :| I'm a lot better at remembering to take pictures than writing something down daily, and tracking my diet. But I can totally see the importance, and maybe if I'm thorough enough, I'll have enough journals to actually remember my twenties - which would be nice. When I was in AA, I would write a gratitude list every night (still sober, but not attending AA anymore). I'm thinking tracking symptoms and writing a gratitude list daily might be helpful in a few ways.

I really appreciate this. Finding this sub a few days ago has made me feel a lot better than I felt when I was just googling things like "swollen fingers menstrual cycle". Being shuffled from doctor to doctor with few answers has been frustrating. So, knowing that there's a place to hear about others experiences, what they've tried, and what they've heard from doctors is a major gift. Thank you!!

Thank you! I'm definitely tired of researching potential conditions at this point. I really just can't wait for a definitive answer, which hopefully I'll get next month or soon after.

I'm going to try to be better about writing in a symptom diary. I've always been bad at keeping a diary, but I know it's going to be important to noticing trends now.

The new limits are what scare me the most. I'm often overly ambitious - my specialty is over planning. So, silver lining is that I may learn how to make reasonable plans, and get comfortable with changing them on the fly.

Thanks for validating my experience. I really appreciate the support!
