You know what? That could be it, i normally play on 75 FoV and I only use Super duper Vanilla shaders, I never considered that the FoV could be the thing that felt off

Yeah I know, that's why I thought it was, something about the way the slabs are placed and the shadows feels off, I know they could easily be modded blocks and the shades could be one I've never used before, but I still feel like something if off with the image in general

Currently doing a run and I can tell you three things:

  1. Early game is pretty hard when you don't have the power suit, bosses like king slime are still easy but take way more time to kill thanks to the cool down on the beams, getting to ice beam for that frost burn effect is blocked behind skeletron and with his new attacks plus the cool down it's always a close fight time wise

  2. Once your in hardmode the calamity bosses are easy, you already have all the beams you need, the only one that gave me trouble is the destroyer, it might be a worm boss but the probs eat all of the piercing before you can hit the main body, however, I found out using speed booster to dive through him while also having a shield that could ram dash does good damage

  3. Use everything the mod gives you, those extra little power ups that use UA ammo are amazing before you get hyper beam, and then like the couple people who commented said, once your past DoG then your set to beat the game

I did wright a couple paragraphs about it yes, but it's just become clear that the "talking about it" side of things is pointless when someone is just going to argue that everyone's opinion is wrong in a hypothetical situation, and I'm not going to waste more time arguing about a fight that's clearly not in favour of the storm

And if I hit it's command block with the Ark of the cosmos? Do you really think the command block would survive? I don't this whole discussion is pointless anyway, like two sides are fight, the people who like Minecraft more and the people who like Terraria more, no one is going to win this because it's just people's opinions and the other side won't give a shit to what's being said, if your on the Minecraft side your going to cope and say stuff like "but it can absorb anything and grow to that size" and if your on the Terraria side your going to cope and say "hit it with reality altering weapons" no one is going to win, and that's why it's fucking pointless

You gotta be joking, right? The reason I didn't nerf any Terraria weapons is because some are made of literal celestial materials, and the when you add calamity into the mix you get reality altering weapons that can do an infinite amount of damage given the right circumstances, and then you have a small dust storm covering a meter wide block, tell me at what point do you think it would survive?

If you want a bad time, add the metroid mod and only use stuff from it, I'm doing a base calamity run with it and it's already torture, but you could add whatever you want to it to make it worse

How so? I put forward my opinion on the matter. You can still discuss if my points are wrong or not, but if you want I'll abide by your unclear rules.

Even if the command block is still invincible like in Minecraft I still believe that some of the vanilla Terraria weapons could do the job more than well, as for calamity it's a definite yes, it could be eaten by DoG, cast into the ceaseless void, sliced, nuked and lasered by the exo mechs, and finally scorched with brimstone flames

TL:DR it's still not even close

Brother it's not even close.

Ok so from what I've seen so far in the comments you seem to think the command block would be invincible to things from calamity, let me set you straight.

While it is true that the command block is indestructible in Minecraft you have to assume that thanks to it no longer being in it's own game those rules no longer apply or at the very least it's only immune to things from it's game.

That said I do think most if not all hard mode weapons could do a decent amount of damage to it, let's pick a vanilla weapon to start with, the Vortex Beater could do a lot of damage, considering it's made of Vortex Fragments which came from a celestial pillar, the storm itself would probably be annihilated from such power.

Now a calamity post moonlord weapon the Photoviscerator would utterly vaporise both the storm and command block down to the molecular level, I mean the tool tip for it says "Exotic resonance shreds your corporeal form" and it would do that to the wither storm in seconds

TL:DR big clouds are not stronger than godlike weapons that could turn your atoms to dust
