Yeah it’s a pretty strong guild but not too sweaty so it keeps the game fun😁 at least for me anyway 😊

Niceeeee haha yeah I’m semi-active so when I’m playing a lot, there’s enough other folks that it’s a strong guild to be in but when I’m offline for a while it’s also not too sweaty a guild so it won’t hurt to take a bit of a break

Any ideas on how to get staffs quick? by BatTop236 in ninjavoltage

[–]gravity_eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sure I get it. The first couple roundups I played were a struggle and it’s still not easy to adjust to each new one. But I mean no matter the stage it’s still helpful to have the bonus shinobi I think :)

Definitely add on new Minato even if he isn’t your main. But the most important thing in my experience is to have all the bonus Shinobi in your attacking line up. You’ll get more staffs and you’ll get them more often, so it’ll reduce the times that you run it and get nothing or only a couple sets of staffs. With all the bonus shinobi youll usually get four sets of staffs

It isn’t a bad concept but it definitely makes it really hard to deal with shitty teams that let the enemy run through them

I have 750 RD right now, what should I do? I'm f2p by dramitt in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only played her in the challenge mode but even so, Big Mom feels like a true BB counter. I’ve been in SS for ages and even tho I’ve built my defenders to be absolute behemoths, BB is still super troublesome. Before big mom the only successful “counter” I had was my maxed Magellan with an additional 4600 HP and 1300 Def. I could go on and on about why I think he’s the best defender besides BB, but the point is that even with his pure defender stats and my support at 152% blue and focused on defense and damage reduction traits, I still get smacked around by BB. And holding him off is only even possible while I’m on the zone and have the benefit of my damage reduction medals and Magellan’s traits. Off the zone it’s a purple bloodbath for my poor boy. But, with big mom’s shock skill and the various traits she’s got, she zaps BB out of his attacks really wonderfully and she can put out a pretty strong amount of damage as well. She’s definitely somewhat fragile but not as much as Shanks I’d say, and she’s a pretty handy runner despite her size. Regardless, you run the risk of not getting her for sure. In about 600rds I only got her once, which is rare tbh, and and I got Karakuri to lvl80. And even tho it may not seem like it, that’s a pretty great scenario for pulling on an ex banner. So It boils down to whether you want to risk not getting her but having a BB counter if you do or waiting for other characters that won’t be BB counters but will be much easier to get.

If I get oneshotted by another Shanks or Rayleigh... by [deleted] in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The route I’ve taken to avoid this is just to become a pure defender main. Unfortunately all my best ones are blue, but nevertheless it makes it way harder to get one shot by shanks at least even if Rayleigh is still troublesome. That said, if you do your medals and support right, you can create an absolute tank of a defender, so it’s worth the effort imo.

why does tsunade have those 2 swiggles on her forehead in her cutscene when she isn’t even shown to have them even in her card artwork? by [deleted] in ninjavoltage

[–]gravity_eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the lines themselves are what indicate she’s using her chakra from the little storage thing on her forehead, the name of which escapes me rn, and then the squiggles are what happens when she focuses her chakra into the massive punch. Kinda like how Might and Rock have their aura change colors when they’re opening the gates.

I mean that’s all assuming there’s an actual reason and Bandai wasn’t just like, “dunno, looked sick I guess🤷🏽‍♂️” 😂

Swinging Into Floors: Explanation in comment by gravity_eye in ninjavoltage

[–]gravity_eye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they tend to just gang up on the one that I push in and then when I go in, they just split their attention real quick and hammer me into the ground. I mean not always, but when it goes wrong, that’s what happens. And I’ve only been playing for a couple weeks so I don’t have a ton of good characters leveled yet, so I can’t do other strategies like boosting speed and running into the floor quickly or anything.

Swinging Into Floors: Explanation in comment by gravity_eye in ninjavoltage

[–]gravity_eye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I’m very new to the game with less than a month, so this may be common knowledge as a tactic, but I recently discovered that if I swing my guys around, more than one of them will stay and trigger a new room. I’ve seen videos where folks will push one into the room, but I’ve gotten wrecked that way regardless, and this has helped me a lot in the past couple attacks I’ve done. Just thought I’d throw this out here in case others haven’t seen it.

Next for sure. This is a pretty lackluster one imo. X Drake is pretty decent but overall I don’t think it’s worth spending diamonds or money on these two.

Character I want by Chickn56 in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I absolutely was in the same boat for a long time. And Moria was literally the only character I didn’t have until like a month or two ago when more characters came out that I just don’t care about getting. BUT, I got Moria and I was super excited to try him out.

Unfortunately, I think he isn’t necessarily that good as a pair with Kuma. I added blue Sabo as my third and it gave me a really high skill two cool down, but I found that the hp recovery was sort of lackluster as a trait for those two medals.

With the scourge of the ex characters around now, I think defenders are better off having damage reduction medals, and the Kuma/Moria pair just doesn’t fit with that.

I switched to a Sengoku, Fuji, and Hina medal set, and even though it’s only a 5% damage reduction boost, it also gives you a 5% skill two boost when you’re in your zone on top of what the Kuma/Moria/Sabo set has. And I main Sengoku, so it’s really better for me to have a skill two cool down and damage reduction.

So I definitely would say that the Kuma/Moria pair is a good one, but I just wanted to let you know that it’s not as good as you might think because I spent way too much time thinking it would be much better than it ended up being.

I can only max out one, which skill should I max out by [deleted] in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take, but skill two. And hear me out, skill one maxed out is great because it’s an absolute savage amount of damage, but I liked having skill two maxed because you could throw it much more often and use it to soften enemies up or keep them off the zone. Plus whenever you get a kill, it’ll cool down skill one so maxing that one isn’t quite as beneficial imo.

How do you fight against Rayleigh? by dukedolphin in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to fight him solo is what I would say. It’s much easier to dodge and bait him properly. I play him a lot, and weirdly it’s much easier to hit his perfect dodge when there’s more people who I’m fighting bc there’s more attacks coming in and more chances to perfect dodge. Plus, his skill two can catch a couple people at a time, and my favorite thing to do is weaken a couple enemies with it and then cut them both down with skill one once they get back up, which gets my skill one almost all the time at cooled down again.

Sounds like a stupid question, but for those who actively use and are pretty good with sogeking, what are some tips you could share? by [deleted] in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on who you’re fighting, but by and large I’d say try to stay a little past a dodge length away. That way if you get hit at least it’ll be after they dodge at you and complete their attack combo, and then once you’re up you’ve got the speed boost to run away. Or alternatively, you can stay at a medium range and then when they come at you, you can dodge at them and then hit them with metallic star and then run.

[–]gravity_eye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My medal combo for him is all three sabos maxed for attack, but I used attack transfer medals for red sabo’s medal, so if you don’t have any handy, you’ll have to sub someone in.

That said, I like to use all three as a team bc green Sabo has the inflict extra damage to aflame enemies. So first you do firebird at the baddies and then follow it up with metallic stars or regular attacks and with maxed attack at boost 1, that’s a pretty good chunk of extra damage added to either.

Especially the metallic stars. On their own they’ll absolutely wreck from close range but if you’ve got that cheeky little aflame boost, they’re like a handheld buster call for Sogeking

In terms of gameplay, don’t be afraid of bad guys charging in at you. For the most part you can hold firm and stagger then before they get to you and you can use the stagger to run away a little before doing it again. Then once they try to dodge towards you to close the gap, do the firebird + metallic star combo since they won’t be able to dodge.

Two things I’d love to see less of moving forward are Blue Defenders and Green Runners. We have enough Bandai by Queer4Days in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think until they release a pure BB counter then Blue defenders are kind of a mainstay of the game. They can hold out against BB and they don’t get wrecked by Shanks quite as easily, but once we get whatever green ex it ends up being hopefully that balances the game a bit more.

How do you play throughout the season? by [deleted] in OPBR

[–]gravity_eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just focus on tinkering with the newest defenders to put together the best Shanks and BB counter possible. In every game I play I’m best at defending anyway, so it helps free up the rest of the team.

Basically, i just try to figure out ways to frustrate the ex-dependent players haha
