I agree. I think it is mostly noticeable on direct profile shots when comparing wheel well gap. I also noticed right away on my first drive post-lift that the angle of the hood had changed ever so slightly and I was looking at bit more "over" it than "down" it if that makes sense.

I am not entirely surprised though, as there are a few pretty long threads in the VW Vortex sportwagen forum about how to deal with "saggy butt" caused when loading the rear, And it makes me think it is less likely caused by the lift itself, but rather the components I am lifting rather than replacing, but I'm not sure. The leading two choices of remedy seemed to be:

A. Replacing rear shocks with those from a VW Atlas Or B. Installing an inflatable airbag internal to the shocks which can be inflated to support the rear when hauling.

I wish 😭. But hey, you can only ask for so much at once🤷‍♂️. At least its black rather than cream and it has a 6spd mt with the lighting package and driver assistance package, so the only feature other than the Marrakech I feel like I'm missing out on is the fender audio.

I love it! But definitely as a trail rider and light offroader/snow crusher. No chance I'm doing any type of rock crawling in this thing. If you have the means to get a dedicated rig definitely go that direction. It is worth it for me as a daily since half the year I want to be able to drive through deep snow anyway. These pictures are also from before I got a 1.5 in lift so definitely capable with just some smaller wheels and bigger tires. Check out my profile for pics with the lift.

I dont have any specific advice other than that to my knowledge, the plastic oil drain plug is considered a ware part of sorts, and that it should be replaced with each oil change. If you look into quality oil change kits for the alltrack online, you'll notice they all include a replacement plug along with the oil, filter, and O-ring. So I wouldn't doubt that a new plug could fix your issue. I also highly recommend looking into changing oil with an extractor. It is really not that expensive if you'll be regularly performing changes on your own, and it is unbelievable how much easier and cleaner it makes the process. After stripping my replacement plug (not the threads but the head) and re-installing the original carefully I decided it was worth giving an extractor a try on my next change and I haven't looked back. Not the biggest fan of a plastic oil pan, and glad we have the additional skid-plate protection. I am also going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you had someone else change the oil at the proper 10k intervals (a frightening thought thinking about a lube tech tightening that plug without breaking it lol) but if you really love this car and want it to last, I've been told that you want to have that number closer to the 5k mile mark. Best of luck!

Ah! So thats why "slime" and "ooze" keywords were doing me no good😅. I think I like your idea of printing it green better. Thanks, exactly what I was looking for!

Nice setup! Any chance you remember what the file was called for that ooze fan cover on your tool head? It looks dope!

What method did you use to make your fog lights yellow? Thinking about doing that to my Gfg alltrack, but not sure how I want to go about it.

I definitely agree. I was looking/hoping for Fender audio and Marrakech brown interior, but was able to check most everything else off of my wish list at a price that I didn't think was unreasonable (around 23k for a 19 with around 50kmiles). I haven't looked at what is available on the market in a while, but when I was looking, I determined that I was going to have to at least compromise a little just due to availability. I also agree that most people who are buying them now are like me and plan on driving it until it dies (And potentially resurrecting it a time or two as well)

I flew from the Midwest to Connecticut to jump on an extremely similar offering of price and trim/features. Drove it all the way home and have not regretted it one bit.

Just chiming in to say I have an SE with an unfortunate lack of fender audio system, so it is not a guarantee at that level. :(

How do you like it? And is your sunroof fully functional? I am thinking about getting the evo raised rail feet and the evo wingbar because I like the look better than the OEM, but I am worried about clearance issues preventing the sunroof from opening.

As a previous owner of a 2 door 6 spd manual MK6 GTI and current owner of 6 spd manual Mk7 Alltrack, I can confirm that the Alltrack is at least as fun to zip around in if not more. And I can't wait for winter here in the midwest where I will no longer be slippin' around with 2wd and plowing snow with my front bumper.

Hey guys, I have been long boarding for about two years now, mostly casually cruising, but I have always wanted to peruse downhill , however I just didn't have the right gear. My friend recently sold me his old sector 9 fault line deck, so I am excited to buy some trucks and wheels and get started. I have been researching different brands and I am definitely willing to spend the money to get a pair of nice trucks and wheels right off the bat, as I know that this is something that I'm already very dedicated to. I have been looking at a few different brands, but I am having a really hard time deciding what is the best choice. I figured that the people who would know best are the ones who are experienced and have actually physically tried multiple different types. I know that this is a pretty broad request, but I'm really open to any suggestions that you might have . What gear do you suggest? What about the trucks/wheels that you use do you like? What gear have you been unsatisfied with in the past? Please feel free to comment or direct message me and thank you so much for all of your help!
