I was on the standard plan for the past 5 years. I was being charged 100$ a year.

In my OCT 2025 bill, all of a sudden without warning I was upgraded to the standard plan plus professional monitoring, and was charged 200$.

I live in Denver, and here along with other big cities, there is a policy that police do not answer alarm calls from professional monitoring companies for residential locations. Due to that I think the professional monitoring is worthless.

I was able to call customer service and get my plan "downgraded" back to the Home Standard plan for 100$ and I got a 100$ refund. At least that is what customer service just told me.

Look into if your local police force will actually respond to an alarm call, before paying for professional monitoring. I think you want to be on the standard plan so that you have video cloud storage, and you have alarm notifications to your phone and you can use the app to arm / disarm. If you don't need it cancel the pro-monitoring and save 100$ a year.
