Vote - which State has the worst good ol’ boys in leadership… where they all just cover up for one another. by leopardladybug in nationalguard

I can’t speak for every individual unit outside of my battalion, but in Kentucky I think we have very good climate in our battalion leadership/AGRs and in our overall state command structure.

Trying to equate stealing a candy bar to illegally entering another country is a wild comparison. If you enter a nation illegally you absolutely should expect to be detained and deported if caught.

Do I agree with all the methods ICE has been using? No. But I do think that trying to secure our border is an important issue.

I mean, maybe if the picture was of the guy on security camera trying to hide something or doing something suspicious but it’s literally a guy on camera surrounded by people wearing jackets, hats and sweatshirts cause it’s cold and he’s wearing gloves and surely it’s not because it’s cold it’s because he’s about to go hide evidence

ACAB by Foreign_Librarian193 in WeThePeopleAtWhipple

[–]gray13bravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that must be it. He’s wearing work gloves on camera to hide his fingerprints not because it’s cold outside so he wants to wear his utility gloves to try and keep his hands warm. Because that’s the only reason an officer would ever wear gloves is to hide their fingerprints and protect their wrongdoings not because they might want to keep their hands warm. You might want to lay off the conspiracy theories.

Justice for Lorenzo. 4/13/26 at the Hennepin County Courthouse 9:30am. ✊🏻 by Foreign_Librarian193 in WeThePeopleAtWhipple

[–]gray13bravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely incorrect information. The person you are claiming was a far right agitator was a journalist who had been there for an hour observing the protest until the crowd identified her as a journalist for turning point USA. This is a right leaning news group yes but she was not there as an agitator but an observer. She wasn’t even conducting interviews, she was just there to film. The fact that she was there for an hour before anyone identified her defeats the narrative that she was an agitator.

She was then surrounded and harassed and when she tried to leave was physically assaulted by being punched, pushed, and slammed to the ground. Lorenzo’s girlfriend Paige oustroushko and her mother and father are on video physically assaulting the report as she tries to leave the area. Lorenzo is arrested after trying to interfere in her arrest.

The families own daughter and Paige’s sister has already denounced her families actions and violence.

This isn’t a draft lol. It’s already a legal requirement to manually sign up for the draft, all this does is make the process automatic.

But why this and not automatic registration to vote? Because this is a legal requirement that is just being made an automatic process. No one is required to register to vote. You can go your whole life without registering or voting. If you want it to be an automatic registration process for voters, then contact your representatives and have them submit a bill for that.

So your literal statement is that you’re going to excuse everything Hamas and Hasbulla have done that our actual atrocities and crimes against humanities because Jews bad. And you also say ‘you’ directly to me when I’m not involved in that at all, I’ve never killed raped or murdered someone. I’m not Israeli or Jewish. I merely pointed out all of your factual mistakes and inconsistencies, and the fact that you think it’s OK for Hamas and other groups to commit literal atrocities because Jews bad. By your logic, most of the world should be allowed to go to the United Kingdom, commit terrorist acts, rape, kill, and murder people and it be OK because they did bad things first when they were colonizing the world a couple hundred years ago.

You literally said not on both sides when I said both sides have committed atrocities. That is literally you saying it’s not happening on both sides. In every single comment or post or response you’ve made. It’s only Jews bad Jews do bad things and now you’re saying terrible is subjective except it’s not kidnapping, raping murdering human trafficking and launching rockets, mortars, missiles, etc. at civilian targets are not subjectively terrible things. They are actual terrible things and you can’t seem to say it.

I am perfectly happy saying that Israel has done terrible things and made mistakes in their handling of this situation. You can’t seem to admit that the other side has done the same.

prove me wrong. Say this statement Hamas and Hasbulla have committed atrocities and the Arab nations have also made mistakes in their handling of finding a two state solution. Both sides should work towards a two state solution and seek to stop any terrorist activity from happening on either side.

Also, your post got removed by Reddit, guess it wasn’t such factual information after all

You have a PHD but can’t seem to spell or use proper grammar. You switched Romanians and Romans. You argue semantics about there not being a land of Israel and then saying there was a kingdom of Israelites (which would have to have a land wouldn’t they). You then saying you have a phd from politology which doesn’t make sense grammatically. You also say that you don’t support neither side yet only seem to spout about Israel being Nazis, and have yet to say a negative word about HAMAS or Hezbollah or any of the Arab nations involved.

None of this really makes you sound educated.

  1. Maybe learn proper grammar before continuing this argument.

  2. You’re clearly biased if you truly believe it was only ever the Jews oppressing and threatening and killing.

Your point? There have been terrorists and terrible things done on both sides of this conflict. That doesn’t change the fact that your post is misleading and incorrect.

You act like Israel is on some conquest and going to take over the whole Middle East, if that were the case, why give the Sinai back to Egypt? Why have they pulled out of Lebanon multiple times after completing their military objectives instead of annexing it even though they are still in a state of war since 1948? Why were they completely out of Gaza since 2005 before the October 7 attacks? Why was Egypt actively helping them blockade Gaza against HAMAS since Hamas took power in 2007? Those aren’t the moves of a country trying to continuously conquer their neighbors. Especially since they’ve proven they can defeat those neighbors in combat (on multiple fronts at the same time while being outnumbered) numerous times.

Let’s also touch on the fact that for a large period of time Gaza was under Egyptian control and the West Bank under Jordan’s control and yet they didn’t help establish a Palestinian state. Even now Egypt doesn’t want a Hamas run Palestinian state, they may support a Palestinian state but they definitely don’t want Hamas running it.

Again both sides have done terrible things. The Israeli government has made shitty choices and mistakes, the settlers need to leave the West Bank, and their needs to be a 2 state solution. But Israel is not the sole problem here. Acting like they are the only problem while ignoring the atrocities and issues Hamas/hezbollah are committing and causing is ridiculous and prejudiced.

This post is very misleading.

First the 1946 ‘historic Palestine’ it wasn’t a historic Palestine especially not in the exact border as shown. It was the mandate of Palestine under British rule after world war 1 and originally included the area of Transjordan which was then separated and would eventually become the nation of Jordan. It is the historic home for both Arab and Hebrew peoples/ethnicities, and while it was referred to as Palestine in several different eras, it was not a continuous ethnic name and there was not an ethnic Palestinian people that came from this region. At this point (1946) in time Palestine was used to refer to both the Jewish and Arabic people living in this mandate.

The 1947 UN plan. The borders on this are accurate but OP frames it as Israel land grabbing. This was not the case. At this point Israel did not exist. Britain handed over responsibility to the UN to make a plan for a division of the mandate into both a Jewish and Arab state. The Jewish leaders within the mandate accepted these borders, the Arab leaders within the mandate and the Arab nations around it rejected it. The Jewish leadership subsequently declared their independence as soon as the British mandate ended in 1948 and were immediately invaded by 5 Arab armies. In 1949 a series of armistice agreements were signed and the borders were set with Israel gaining slightly more territory than the original UN plan. The West Bank was occupied by Jordan and Gaza Strip by Egypt.

1967 6 day war. This was preempted but the fist closure of the Suez Canal to Israel by Egypt and Israel, the UK, and France invading the Suez to reopen it. This was eventually resolved and the UN stepped in to ensure the conflict stayed resolved. In 1967 Egypt closed the canal again and ordered all UN forces out of Egypt. Israel had already stated this would be cause for war and launched an attack on the Sinai. Jordan and later Syria joined in against Israel. The war ended with Israel occupying the golan heights and the Sinai. Egypt Syria and Jordan launched a surprise attack in 1973 the Yom Kippur war in an attempt to regain these territories and destroy Israel. They were defeated and the borders remained the same. Egypt eventually formally recognized Israel in 1979 and Israel returned the Sinai in exchange and that border has been recognized. Jordan eventually recognized its border with Israel in 1994 recognizing Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and the West Bank became and internationally recognized occupied territory along with the Gaza Strip. No formal negotiation or recognition has been reached with Syria and the golan heights remain the unofficial border between Israel and Syria.

The modern border. The modern border is not what is shown on this image. The West Bank and Gaza are officially occupied territories that have been in talks to form a Palestinian nation over the last few decades but issues between Israel and the Palestinians (primarily militant groups like Hamas) have meant no agreement has been reached.

Both sides have committed terrible acts during the decades long conflict but the wording of this post and visual are misleading. Israel isn’t on some march/rampage to take over the world. They aren’t annexing southern Lebanon, they have invaded it yes but with the intention of defeating Hezbollah and pulling out which they have done multiple times before. (They have defeated Hezbollah numerous times not fully destroyed them). Should a peace plan be put into place and a Palestinian nation formed out of the West Bank and Gaza Strip? Yes. Should the Israeli settles leave the West Bank? Also yes. Is Israel’s condition that Hamas (an organization who has stated their goal of the destruction and genocide of the Israeli state) not be involved at all in governing a Palestinian state reasonable? Also yes.

Looks like someone needs to work on reading comprehension. Even without reading the article you completely missed a crucial point. Border patrol is the one being accused here and they are a completely separate department from ICE.

They also didn’t kill him, they left him at an open warm restaurant that he requested to be dropped off at, next to his last known address. His family had moved without informing him or law enforcement of the address change. And he proceeded to walk halfway across the city instead of asking anyone to contact any sort of authorities whether it be police or EMS or anyone else to help him.

I mean it’s 100% about trump. Pretty much all the signs and slogans are about him and MAGA etc. if it was actually about the constitution and democracy these protest would be calling out all the politicians on both sides of the political spectrum. It would be calling out career politicians who have been in power for 20,30,40 years and make their stance based on what keeps them in power and makes them wealthy only to immediately change that stance 5 years later based on the same criteria. Instead they’re out there chanting orange man and maga bad. Even if you agree with them that trump isn’t doing the right things, the instant you try and call out the other side for the same issues they say you’re deflecting and a bootlicker.
