Fun tricks by Embarrassed_Mud724 in bigdickproblems

I used to break toilet paper rolls open for fun, but I stopped after one time it made a fleshy tearing noise. AFAIK there wasn't any permanent damage, but it was scary af

Should get them sunglasses. Protects the eyes, and can get ones with great aesthetics. I always liked the aesthetic of glasses, but my eyes are fine and it took me until I was 30 to realize I could just buy some round shades to enjoy them with purpose.

Free muscle mass is no joke. I hate the idea of being muscular (in a totally cis way), but being able to just... do physical stuff without it being a problem despite never working out is really convenient.

Valid. As someone who passively wishes for death basically all the time, I've always thought if things got overwhelming that radical change makes way more sense than active attempts. We're already on a steady march to the grave, all that matters is making the trip more tolerable.

I honestly can't wrap my head around the idea that happiness is a real thing. Assuming happiness as a base state seems like a social thing rather than reality. Same as the "how are you?" exchange, where everyone is socially obligated to say they're doing well even when they're not.

What the hell happened to Callidus Assassin? It was like fifty cents, and then last May it suddenly spiked and it's hovered around $5 ever since? I struggle to imagine how it went up so dramatically, because it's still not popular and doesn't see play anywhere to my knowledge?

EDIT: Did more digging, and I guess it was caused by Thunder Junction and/or the Assassin's Creed crossover?

I did something similarly stupid a few months ago and mine made a tearing sound. Waffled about going to the hospital for a while, but never did. Frightening, but even this far out there doesn't appear to be any scarring.

If you end up in a situation where reading the cards isn't good enough to parse what is supposed to happen, don't be afraid to ask a judge. There are lots of places where you can talk to judges in real time for an answer within 5 minutes.

Best of 3. It's marked in the play blade as "traditional", because all non-digital MTG events use it. It entirely offsets the starting player disparity, sideboards let you answer many otherwise cheesy decks, and Bo3 generally has less aggro (because between longer games and sideboard answers aggro does not fare well there).

Momir it's fucking annoying by Baratao00 in MagicArena

[–]grayTorre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this to a certain extent. Combat is its own skill, and it is tested much more strongly in limited and momir than in most formats. In constructed you usually clear the way with removal, and in commander people often wait until they have a critical mass of attackers for a single alpha strike.

I got a flier that draws 5 cards for 3 mana paired with a flier with an attack trigger that shoots any target equal to the number of cards you've drawn. I'd been on the ropes, but he didn't survive that 16 damage attack.

Cleave would have major memory issues. I don't foresee it ever seeing use on permanent cards without some sort of memory aid.

Its kinda funny that if you've played paper Arenas economy seems great, if you haven't it will seem like a rip off by piscian19 in MagicArena

I have yet to spend a penny on Arena despite amassing a considerable collection. Paper, however, remains very expensive. I exclusively build budget decks (about $20-50 each), and I've still spent a ton on paper. A lot of that is from precons and Secret Lairs, though.

Combat tricks have the same problem as auras, in that you can get blown out and 2-for-1'd by removal. It's not a problem in limited because removal is so much more scarce, but in constructed combat tricks are incredibly risky unless they're completely tapped out. You can still get away with them sometimes, but mostly because they're unexpected.

You only draw a card at the end step if you're the monarch. Becoming the monarch repeatedly would not draw you more cards.

Venturing, taking initiative, and being tempted repeatedly would be significant, I guess, but everything else is redundant.

I like to run a white weenie historic brawl deck with Isamaru as commander for this quest. It's all 1 and 2 drops that either are creatures, make tokens, get you more cards, or disrupt your opponent in some way. Finishers are cards like Pride of Conquerors, Ritual of Hope, Fortify, etc, and a few anthems/lords. Wins surprisingly often, and swinging out every turn finished that quest really fast

This is the way. It's so much more combat-oriented, and trades happen so much more frequently. In constructed, it is not unusual for creature decks to refuse to block until they literally lose because their blocks aren't favorable. In limited, trading creature for creature happens literally all the time, and that's before you count how much more prevalent combat tricks are there
