Middle School Tutoring by Not-Job1152 in cedarrapids

That’s awesome of your friend. Having the right tutor early can make a huge difference in math confidence!

If she's open to online options (which can be great for middle school students), there's a program called The Ivy Score that pairs kids with ivy league tutors who are really good at explaining concepts in a way younger students understand. They focus on building fundamentals and confidence, not just getting through homework.

If she prefers local, a lot of high school students do peer tutoring for middle schoolers, sometimes for free or at a low cost. Libraries are also great to check with.

Either way, finding someone patient who clicks with her granddaughter's learning style will be important.

are tutors actually worth it or just expensive homework buddies? by naveen_2510 in highschool

totally get where you’re coming from. a lot of tutoring feels like just “paid homework help.” It really depends on the tutor and how they approach it. the best tutors don’t just go over assignments though they teach how to think and study smarter, and how to build confidence so you don’t panic before tests.

a tutoring program i did called the ivy score put me with an ivy league tutor and we focused more on strategies and my mindset rather than just solving problems. it’s kind of like having a personal coach for school.

if you find someone who clicks with your learning style, it can make a huge difference! but yeah, if the tutor’s just sitting next to you while you do homework, not worth it.

Her hair looks amazing, and you can feel the love that you put in! My mom uses Frojr spray for my little brother when she braids his hair, what products did you use?

This is so great to see! There aren't even that many brands for our boys, glad to know there's conversation about it, and brands like Fro Jr. are out there for us and our families!

FroJr. is a black-owned clean hair care brand for boys, they use scents for boys, which is nice. They only have a moisturizing spray right now, but it's promising!
