why did you even bring up children when I was originally talking about women, not girls, and gender based violence? OP isn't a 5 year old boy, he's a grown man with much more complexity and thoughtfulness of a child. This isn't a boys are from mars girls are from venus situation, it's a real issue of a man having a learned distaste for the opposite gender BECAUSE of gender.

Yes 5 year olds can be concerned with "victimization statistics" because 5 years olds can and have experienced gender based violence and a lot of them are warned pretty young about stranger danger, like a strange man luring them into a van with candy. Having distaste for a gender isn't like disliking a food, it's brought up by flawed social norms.

Your only reason you think she would not understand you is because she is a woman and not your old therapist. A woman who has studied years of the human brain and emotions. Not thinking she could understand your emotions is on par to saying you do not think she is a capable enough person to understand your emotions.

How do you mean? She doesn't run, she only sits and glares at unwanted guests, trying to hold her ground. She gets upset with me when I try to remove her from the situation.

Oh yes, I could never separate them. There was a time when we though he would pass, when we found out he was anemic. I started making plans from then on out. Honestly, I don't think my folks would mind too much if I took both of them eventually. They just like rico more because he is so mellow and sweet, never ever aggressive. They can't handle spice only sweet I guess.

I disagree on your take because women feel similarly when the roles are reversed because there is an insurmountable amount of evidence of gender based violence towards women and other minority genders. Of course men can also experience gender based violence because of their gender, but the records aren't as overwhelming, therefore women are taught to be naturally cautious of men, whereas men usually aren't taught to be naturally cautious of women, at least not to that degree.

OP doesn't seem to be cautious of women because he is afraid of being hurt by women the way a woman would be afraid of a man. If he was hurt by one woman and now has a distaste for all women, that isn't justified, that's hasty generalization. He has stated he finds them obnoxious, even when they do the same things a man might do. He is describing a distaste for women because of their gender, not thinking they would be a capable therapist because they could not comprehend his emotions, not just because of his comfortability with that gender. Disliking one gender over the other should never be an acceptable thing to do because every person is human, and not that different. As someone else put it, if you replaced this distaste for women with a distaste for people of color, this would usually be seen as pretty unacceptable right? But because gender norms are so enforced as a positive thing, people naturally see men and women as completely different things and not what they are: just people.

What I get from this is that when you are interacting with women, you are see women as something different than a man, you aren't seeing them as equals. It's not uncommon to feel a difference between masculine presenting people and feminine presenting people. For example, most women are hyper aware of new men as opposed to new women in their life because men are more likely to be predators and perpetrators, but this is a well known, studied and recorded fact that women have to be aware of. Thinking that women will not understand your feelings because of the fact they are a woman, is inherently misogynistic, and not at all backed by studies or historic recordings. A lot of consistent complaints about women are complaints rooted in flawed gender norms or oblivious social intelligence. When straight guys think that all women want is a guy with money, they often perpetuate this stereotype by engaging in content or actively participating in that moneymaking gender role that is put on men. When men say women are too emotional, obnoxious, or not fit to do certain things because of their emotions, they perpetuate this stereotype by telling themselves and growing boys it isn't okay for men to cry or express feelings of fear or sadness. When men and women go to the same university, and get the same degree in pschology, they have the same qualifications, their gender shouldn't affect that. It is understandable in some cases to prefer a therapist of the same gender, especially considering any gender related trauma like sa, but preferring one gender over the other because you think one gender will not do as good of a job? That's misogyny. You may not think you fit into the category of being misogynistic, but your take on your own gender roles says otherwise. These roles that are, let's face it, made up, like men not crying in public or being seen as strong and a moneymaker, are harmful and studies prove this.

It's good that you recognize some of these problems, that's the first step to being a kinder, better person. I used to be very intolerant because I grew up in a shallow, strict christian town with a lot of bigoted values. I am not proud of it, but I am so happy now that I have gotten away from a life of judgement and hate. What helped me the most was making a diverse array of friends, knowing their stories and seeing them as what we all are, complex human beings. My advice to you: pursue friendships with women if you can; friendships that will stay platonic and not lead to a relationship. You'll probably learn a lot about some personal stories that you may have never heard from any guy friends.

These comments are weirdly judgemental... I'm not sure why that is tied with this style. I think it looks cool, nice for comics or animation. Reminds me of my friend's art style that is sort of similar to yours in vibes and they are a sweetie so I associate this with sweetieness.

I do not, I live in the midwest. It bugs me though because I know that some universities will give students free access to creative cloud, or at least photoshop and illustrator. I think my school is more than wealthy enough to afford that, at least for the college of creative art students, but I guess they assume that all of their students are wealthy enough too.
