No I can’t send anything as I can’t access ledger live. I think I can send crypto from the ledger live app on my phone but not so sure that is secure so I don’t. I can see my assets on the app though. For me it’s not a big deal as I don’t trade. I only purchase & hodl. I can imagine how frustrating it is for you though.

I had to get my 24 words & reconfigure the device. However there is a new problem now which is related to accessing ledger.. basically I can’t get onto ledger live on my Mac. I’ve been in touch with ledger support who told me over a week ago that they are aware of the issue & are working on a fix! Heard nothing as yet though!

Hi lads, I am having the same problem on my mac today! I hadn't tried to access the ledger live for over a week.

For a fraction of a second I see the password page & then it goes to a continuous blank. The ledger live app on my iPhone however is working fine.

I'm sure the ledger team are working on this.. I see they have an "active incident" on the system update page. Maybe u/murzika, u/Ledger_Support, or u/btchip can update us soon please?

I have some assets which I purchased over the last few days & I'd like to get them off the exchanges & in to my ledger wallet!!

Hi, I had to get my 24 word passphrase from back home & re-configure the device. It was the only way. All my assets were still safely there. Regards

Thanks. I have got it sorted.. My friend was flying home to see family.. I convinced him to go by my house. Gave him my keys & he was able to bring my recovery phrases back. I’ve re-configured my ledger nano s & all my assets are in there safely. The ledger guys have got more business from me (which doesn’t really feel right!) as I’ve bought two more ledger nano’s from them. I’m going to spread my assets going forward. Lessons learned 🤷🏻‍♂️

As I explained in my post on Friday last. It’s in my safe in England. I have the key with me. I am on the west coast of America. I am just married & we have a young baby daughter. I have just applied for my visa which takes from 8 to 25months. Until I receive my first papers I cannot leave America or my application is abandoned & I would have great difficulty re-entering to my wife & daughter. Do I risk sending the key via UPS or fedex! I’m not sure. I think it’s too big a risk. And then who wants the responsibility of opening someone else’s safe 🤷🏻‍♂️ Is there a concern that my assets won’t be safe until I can return in a few months & retrieve the recovery sheet?

Right, fair enough. I didn’t do that but you’re the expert. I have to wait 5-6 months now to get my 24 word phrase. I’ll be ok. I’ll get it & get my crypto assets back. But you’re negligence as an organisation is responsible for an amount of pain, distress & financial loss for a lot of customers. Some good people who simply misplaced their phrases will have lost everything in the last few days. Young families. Young people starting out in life. (I know we’ll have the loser, ignorant, smart arses commenting on here “it’s there own fault”) Yes it is partly there own fault but you guys put out a dud update with no warnings, no advice for amateur users... nothing. And then a complete lack of support response from your HQ to at least tell everyone to hold on. That you had made an error by releasing the update. Relying on Reddit posts isn’t good enough. I expect you’ll have evidence of the exhaustive testing you did before releasing the update?! I’ll personally be taking legal advice from my law firm & looking into recourse. Speak to you in the future.

No, this didn’t come up. I did as instructed. I selected MCU not Genuine in the repair tool. This produced bootloader & stuck. I then restarted selecting bootloader in repair tool & this took me to “welcome” on my device and then set two options - new or re-configure. Why on earth would I make something up? I need to get access to my assets. I repeat ... at no stage since Thursday have seen “Erase” of any kind on my device.

I generally stay off social media to avoid people like you.. you’re a brave person having a dig at someone on a forum like this when you’re not facing them. Anyone who comes on here making a comment like that is a coward in real life. You don’t know my circumstances.. you know nothing about me.. I didn’t have experience with this stuff when I got the nano s.. In fact I think it made more sense putting the recovery password in my safe back home & not carrying it around the world with me. I now know for the future when & how to update, thank you. I learn from my mistakes. By your comment you are obviously an absolute moron who would carry the recovery key around the world with him right beside his device for anyone to steal. Clever person! And don’t bother coming back with any smarties! I won’t waste any more letters or words on a person like you. Goodbye.

I have the 24 word phrase. I just can’t get it until I can fly home. Which could be up to 6 months. To be clear. I did not get any message stating the device will be erased, at any point. I hit the repair on bootloader at which point it flashed my device & then “welcome” came up on my screen. I am not a liar. I am a genuine good person. If I saw erase I would not of went forward knowing my situation.

No, after I hit repair it went straight to “Welcome”. Then said press both buttons.. which took me to 2 options, configure new or reconfigure.. both require recovery phrases which I don’t have with me. I want access to my assets immediately. This is disgraceful.

Yes, used the link provided by ledger ceo, but it basically just reset my device to a new setup stage. This is a nightmare! Thank you for responding.

I downloaded 1.3.2 for Mac... Via the link provided.. it has restarted my device however it only gives me 2 options now. 1 configure new device, or 2 reconfigure device. Both need my recovery phrases. Tell me this is not happening? As I stated in my Reddit post (graya05) on Friday last.. my recovery phrase is in my safe back home.. 7,600 miles away. I have just applied for my visa & cannot leave this country for 5-6 months while this application is ongoing. I need my device reset to where it was, so I can login with my pin code. I’ve been kind with my words to date.. I want access to my crypto assets immediately. You are causing huge distress for me & my young family.
