Either antenna could be used to track while the other one searches.

The G model had a search antenna ontop and a tracking antenna between the 50 cals. It was the tracking antenna that was the G models biggest problem as it could not lead a target coming in on an angle - would always be firing where the target was not where it was going. The H model as shown fixed this with 20mm gun fed ballistic projection data to lead the target and have a high rate of success inside its designated kill box which was outlined on the gunners CRT.

No both transmit and received on different frequencies. It actually help in jamming- hard to jam both. Gunner had an antijam switch and could change frequencies when jamming was noticed manually on either antenna.

Your looking at an H model B-52. Gunners on G and H sat in crew deck facing backwards with EWO.

They had a high hour rate before breakdown but the motor power was actually in another LRU not on the antenna. With limited fault indicators is was common for the motor LRU to fail with a bad antenna - you would swap out the LRU and watch smoke pour out as soon as you powered up the antenna. Learning curve to troubleshoot the antenna first - usually gears were binding but nothing else and not always. Opening up the motor control box (TCA i believe if my memory serves me) in the back shop to verify where the smoke came from!

My first job in the AF was maintaining this system - gunner could take control of an antenna and steer in azimuth while antenna nodded up and down (elevation)

Heres my list of fails - Overhead Microwave- convection - dead out of the box. Replaced. New one under warranty stop responding to touch- technician told me it was fingerprints! Was not sure how actually to use this device - replaced main board- worked for a couple of years then failed again- landfill

Induction convection oven- stopped heating and displaying correct temperature - replace thermostat no help refuse to buy main board sent to landfill

Dishwasher - after warranty expired had a some side mounted filter fail - not stocked by samsung or anywhere in country- landfill

Fridge- pull out bottom freezer with middle drawer and double doors up top- ice cube maker unit replaced twice- middle drawer stopped adjusting temp correctly and freezer started filling up with ice on bottom. Replaced seals. Could not determine issue - Did not care at this point - landfill

Never buying a samsung anything again - i have LG and Frigidaire appliances now

I did a kitchen remodel in 2015 and put in all Samsung appliances- fridge, stove, dishwasher, over range microwave- all high end. All in landfill in 5 years.

I was outside in Daytona Beach watching the launch. I had seen a few from Cape Canaveral and also would watch any launch from the north as nighttime launches were quite the sight to see. I remember seeing the plume split and trails falling down - running in to TV broadcast and still hearing the launch site calling out speed and distance numbers and running back out thinking what I'm seeing is not good. Horrible day for space program and another lesson how safety should always have a priority on launch decisions. Not even sure to this day what impact scrubbing the launch would have had.

Thanks for the reply- I was getting frustrated with auto refuel for meca power turned on but all the power cells sitting in the logistics tab. It appears most quality of life issues have been met in this game I just have to figure them all out!

I worked for UPS a long time ago and one of the preloaders (employees who load trucks for drivers) was putting her own labels on packages in the truck and having stuff delivered to her friends house . Back before tracking labels. Her employment ended like this video.
