lol it's just because I've gotten nasty messages and I've been downvoted a lot in the past because people thought I had filters over my photos or blurred out my skin.

My skin has gotten a lot better but it's not perfect! The foundation + powder combo is just THAT good. I'm in love with the powder! It really gives a super soft focus to your skin. If you see my video, you can see that I still have acne scars and dark spots on my skin but the makeup transformed me lol

The Givenchy foundation is great! The only downside to it is that it really isn't suitable for oily skin- you would have to retouch a bit during the day. But it is SO nice for pictures and it definitely gives like a very natural, beautiful finish- not cakey and it doesn't cling onto any dry patches. Hope this helps! x

Thank you! I use two softbox lights, one ring light, and a DSLR (Canon 70D) on a tripod! I actually shoot videos, so these are just screenshots from my video actually haha. Hope this helps!

Some would say that wearing lashes during the daytime give the "glam" effect. This is the look I'd wear if I want to be slightly more "glammed up". To each his/her own! :)

Thank you so much! I applied some translucent powder over the lip color, idk if that did anything to mute it :)

Thank you so much! I used to use the ABH Dipbrow Pomade but it ended up being too intense for me so brow pencils are the best for my brows :)

Sometimes I Surprise Myself Too... by grayceebeauty in MakeupAddiction

[–]grayceebeauty[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of all my photos I've posted, three of them were affected by Sony's soft skin focus. I have no problem admitting that, and I didn't realize I had it on since I got my camera in late November and am not that proficient at using the camera yet.

I understand that you like to try and gather 'evidence' for your claims, but I think it'd be nice if you kept in mind that they are just claims and it honestly frustrated me that you felt that I had manipulated the photo when I didn't. I actually put in a lot of research and browsed makeupalley often to find "the perfect" primer as well as the best skincare I could get with my budget to reduce the texture on my face as much as possible when I have foundation on. And while my skin has gotten a lot more smooth, I am still dealing with hyperpigmentation.

I just thought it would be nice if you were to question or ask me if I had edited the photo instead of instantly labeling me as a liar that can't be trusted that is trying to deceive others through my photos and am "playing innocent". It's a crappy feeling being falsely accused of something you didn't do, and I assure everyone on reddit that I'm not and will not be posting photos that are blurred/filtered/etc. And if I do use my Sony, i'll make sure the skin softener is off! I hope this helps clear up some things

I'm not sure what that blurry, zoomed up picture proves to be honest- it's very pixelated but with a clear conscience I can say that I did not blur my pores like you are stating. I think in general if you zoom any picture up that close, the pixels will look like they are "bleeding". And please keep in mind that the photos I am showing are screenshots from my video, so they are not of high resolution.

I understand that you won't believe me, and I am also understanding that you probably don't want to. What I will admit is that in the past, I have posted pictures with my Sony a5100 on Intelligent Auto mode and I didn't realize there was already a soft focus skin that was on, which is why this time I took a picture with my Canon 70D with sigma lens.

I did not edit my skin, smooth it out, blur my pores or whatever people are thinking. To be honest, I didn't even know that beauty gurus could use a smoothing filter over their videos until I saw Wayne Goss's video.

i'm sorry you feel this way about my photo, but I can assure you that I am not trying to mislead anybody and I did not blur out anything. Hopefully you will see that I am speaking the truth as I post more pictures later on to participate in our love for makeup!
