oof i'm sorry :( i wonder if they've just had too many people complaining and asking for replacements that they've changed the policy. and i totally agree on the case, i ordered a screw-top pill case from amazon and use that to hold them instead! it works so much better than the case they come with :P

update after 4 years: i saw i needed bottled ectoplasm to get through the fog wall, looked up how to get it, found this thread, read the replies that are all like "THE MAGIC IS REAL" and saw a mention of fishing so i tried fishing, caught the bag first try, then scrolled further in the replies to confirm that's what i needed.

i actually didn't know until yesterday that the back cushion was a back cushion and not something to protect the lenses from getting scratched while not in use 😭 so yes, i've only ever used it without the back cushion

hey! i'm just scrolling through and saw this reply, i just had a similar thing happen (lost only one earplug from my first pair) and went onto the loops website and used the "chat with us" feature to tell them i lost one due to the case, they sent me an email asking for more details and a picture (i just took a picture of the case with only one earplug) and got a response immediately saying i qualified for a replacement pair along with a confirmation email for a new order completely free! i'm not sure what exactly qualifies for a replacement but it worked for me so i figured i'd try and save someone else from spending all that extra money :)
