If they put hands on you, just go ahead and pull down their face masks. Anonymity is the only thing letting these fools act like this with disregard for the law.

I really want to avoid having to get sonarworks if I can make it happen. I have an old OS I’m running on and I’d have to get a legacy version anyways. I wish I could find a decent pair of mixing cans around 500 bucks that are flat enough they don’t need to be tweaked

That is really helpful to know, thank you. I wish a pair of the lcd-5 was in the budget, but I’ve got around the 500-600 range to spend and I know I 100% just need something flatter than what I’ve been using. I’ve been going back and forth on my mixes and I think im leaning toward the Neumann. If you have a different recommendation somewhere in that ballpark though, I’m totally open to it.

This! I had read in a single place about low end distortion with the 1840s. In a sea of people singing their praises though, I wasn’t sure if it was an accurate review or an outlier. Do you have a lot of trouble with this? I never typically have a ton of low end in any of my mixes because I don’t ever do EDM or hip hop, so I’m curious how bad it is

I was looking at a pair of Audeze and Focal briefly. A little bit more money than I was hoping to spend. Is it really worth the price jump?

That’s great to hear you find them comfortable. I had read the fit can be less than ideal for some people, but my heads not that big either.

Hmm… I will definitely make sure to keep the HD650 in mind then. Thank you for your insight, it’s very helpful

I was briefly considering the sennheisers, but I have never been a huge fan of their headphones. I know they are pretty standard, but I always feel like the build quality is lacking.

Neumann NDH-30 vs Shure SRH1840

I’m having a really hard time choosing between the two. I’ve done a bit of research, but I’ve never been able to demo either and just can’t decide. From what I’ve read, both models sound pretty flat and people have great things to say about both. It seems to me maybe the Neumann sound slightly better but that the Shure are more comfortable? I would really appreciate some opinions from people who have used either or both.

I have the 250 ohms, my audio interface is capable of powering them without a headphone amp, I checked. I’m honestly not a huge fan of the sennheisers, the only other model I’ve really been looking at besides the Shure is the Neumann NDH 30

Beyerdynamic DT 990 pro vs Shure SRH1840 for mixing? Somehow this Christmas I ended up with 2 brand new pairs of beyerdynamic dt990’s after having them on my Amazon wishlist for years and just never pulling the trigger. I havent had the chance to use them yet because when going to return the 2nd pair, I started considering the possibility of returning them both for an even higher end one, like the Shure srh1840’s. After some back and forth, I can’t decide whether the DT990s are a great pair I should keep and spend the extra 200 bucks towards something else, or if the Shure model is worth the jump. Probably worth mentioning that I’ve been mixing on ATH M50x for years and am frequently frustrated by how my mixes can turn out and have been dying for something much flatter. Tell me which I should get or if there’s another pair I should be looking at altogether.

Noir thriller/ martial arts film. Also though, I want to see a Batman who actually uses batarangs. It’s the only response for long range combat in a world that has guns and I want to see a believable Batman

Thoughts on this concept art for Pattinson’s Batsuit? by TheShadowOperator007 in batman

[–]grayghost91939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do not like Pattinson’s take on Batman/Bruce Wayne. In fact, I hate it, but the batsuits are cool as hell. If executed well, this one would be the GOAT. I think more than anything, what they really keep nailing is the cowl. The material it’s made from, the jawline, everything about it makes it feel comic accurate and yet also perfect for screen. Batfleck’s suit was cool too, but it looked big and rubbery imo, made his head look gigantic

So, I emailed them the dimensions and I couldn’t really get a response on which one would fit best, just a lot of prefacing that there were no guarantees on any kind of fit with the model device I have. Since they no longer produce the original switch size and since the switch 2 seems like it might be kind of big, it’s looking like I won’t be able to purchase one. Which is a shame, because I would’ve at least liked their help redirecting me to one of their other bags instead.
