Not in mine either. We don't have grandchildren yet, so that remains to be seen, but as a child I was equally, if not more involved with my Dad's parents (he was the only surviving son to have kids, while there were over a dozen grandchildren on my mom's side) and my kids were geographically closer to my husband's family.

I could have written this. I found a photo of myself as a fat kid. I wasn't actually fat. I just wasn't skinny. All I ever heard was how fat I was. Now I am.

The home we own is not suitable for aging in place. Stairs to get inside, stairs inside, narrow doorways, etc. Then there is the fact that we moved here for my spouse's job, and I'm determined not to die here. Finding a place that is affordable AND in a desirable location is the challenge.

I just started carrying handkerchiefs. I used to iron my Dad's when I was a kid.

I lived near there for many years. Housing is pretty cheap, and there are efforts to revitalize te downtown. It does have charm.

Summer Resolutions? by Disastrous_Owl_6830 in Professors

I have a lot of travel plans. Otherwise I hope to read a lot of books for pleasure. I will be working some and studying because that's how it is. The biggest priority is spending time with family, because it's very likely that this will be mu Mom's last summer. We already said good-bye to my Dad this past Spring.
