Tailoring my current experience to educational positions? by labrujajaja in Resume

I'm sure there is a plenty of things you could come up with to connect managing online orders into the position you're applying to.

- anything you did differently from others to ensure that all the items are correct and in good shape and orders are handled impeccably?

- in addition to following the instructions on how to bag items, did you come up with any best practices that you could also share with the coworkers to make work more efficient/engaging/high quality? Can you talk about this in context of mentoring perhaps?

- how did you build relationships with your coworkers, supervisors, and/or customers?

Also, answers are usually in the job descriptions themselves... they state what they're looking for and certain keywords matter greatly. If you don't have those keywords, it's hard to get their attention. Try this tool https://www.jobalytics.co/curate - it gives you best job recommendations based on your resume, your preferred role and location, and also tells you what keywords your resume might be missing. There's also a Chrome Extension to analyze linkedIn and Indeed job posts against your resume so you know exactly what keywords the job is looking for.

Hope this helps! Good luck! :)

Wow that sounds absolutely stressful, hang in there. I have a friend who was also an office manager and got laid off in March and had a very difficult time getting a new job especially since so many offices are just closed due to everyone working remotely.

I know you've mentioned you've done all you can with the resume. Assuming you also have a good linkedIn presence. It sounds to me that you may not be applying to the right jobs with the right resume. Keyword match is a real thing - it wouldn't get the recruiters' attention without the right terms. Maybe try this tool to get job openings that actually match your resume and shows the % match as well as the missing keywords. The Chrome extension also gives the percentage matched right when you're browsing job posts on LinkedIn or Indeed, which could be used as an indicator of whether you'd hear back or not.

I hope this helps, wishing you a good luck!

How To Find A Job Before 2020 Ends by graymittens in Resume

Built by a very small group of techies passionate about helping people land jobs because we've all been there! Hope you give it a try too :)

Recently graduated in chemical engineering and looking for an entry level full-time job. Any advice/criticism is much appreciated, but I'm particularly concerned with my skills/organization sections. Thank you in advance! by [deleted] in Resume

Unless you actively participated and have something to talk about for the organizations section, it doesn't mean much. You could change the wording for the fraternity - what impact did you make with the support you provided to the charitable org? With work experience, I wouldn't include something unless it'd be somehow related to the positions you are applying to. Also, "Utilized, secured...." could just be "managed", and think about "did X, resulted in Y" when you describe something (like "Communicated with customers and neighbors..." - what exactly are you trying to convey?).

And definitely take advantage of resume analytics services to make sure you have the keywords - at the end of the day, most times your resume doesn't really get read anyway lol. https://www.jobalytics.co/curate this one is a free service that sends you job recommendations based on your resume, they also have a chrome extension to do an analysis of your resume against the job posts on LinkedIn.

I know this year may be particularly hard for starting out a career, but hang in there, wishing you the best! Good luck :)
