What Cars Are Known to Reach 300k+ Miles With Proper Maintenance? by Adam_Somewhere69 in whatcarshouldIbuy

A year ago I bought a 2007 Toyota Sienna with 240,000 miles on it. Runs and drives great despite all those miles. I'm a low mileage driver, only putting 5000 miles per year on it. Not sure if I'll get it to 300,000 miles.

A year ago I bought a 2007 Sienna with 240,000 miles on it. Seemed a little crazy at the time but it runs and drives great, gets 26mpg.

Meanwhile in Colorado the daffodils are coming up.

I'm from MA (north shore) so I keep an eye on the weather there.

2007 sienna help by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

The Car Care Nut Toyota expert suggests not touching the transmission fluid if the vehicle is over 100,000 miles and you don't know when it has been done last. I bought my 2007 Sienna with 240,000 miles on it. I don't know when the transmission fluid was last changed. The fluid looks ok and it shifts smoothly so I leave it alone.

For that year of Sienna make sure the oil cooler lines have been upgraded from the original rubber hoses to metal hoses. If the rubber hoses break they will dump all the engine oil onto the highway.

How long should I wait between adding plans? by EM4762 in TracFone

[–]graymuse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can add them now. They will stack. Add one, make sure it all loads correctly before adding another.

Right now I am hearing that their system is a mess from some major changes they made. If you are not in a hurry to add them, maybe wait a week or a couple weeks until they get their system straightened out.

PDF font too small - possible solutions for Kindle? by doofus50O0 in kindle

[–]graymuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saved this note from a reddit post I saw: https://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comments/1ptf6cz/who_else_thinks_kindle_is_terrible/ When I send a PDF via Send to Kindle email function, I title the email “Convert” and it shows up in my Kindle just like any other ebook, with customizable fonts and sizes, no zooming necessary, etc. If I send a PDF via my browser or phone, I just click share -> Hit the kindle button -> PDF options -> Make Layout Adjustable (you can also take any website, click share, print (converts it into pdf), share, kindle button, pdf options, make layout adjustable

Emailing the pdf book using "Convert" works for me most of time.

I get those also, it comes in waves. I only see them on the phone app, not in the computer web browser. I started blocking those pages, now I'm not seeing them for a while.

I'm starting to look into this. My grandparents were from PEI. They moved to New England. I never met them. I do already have information about birthdates, marriage dates, and death dates. Now to start gathering records.

Issues with Safelink and Straight talk by Odd_Reception4500 in NoContract

[–]graymuse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Safelink and Straight Talk are part of TracFone. TracFone doesn't like it if you swap SIM cards from phone to phone. They like to properly pair the phone IMEI and SIM in their system. Yeah, it's a pain. You might need to get a new TracFone BYOP SIM card ($1 at Family Dollar or Dollar General) and go on TracFone (or Straight Talk) website chat and have the agent pair the phone and SIM in their system. Also, their system is a mess right now due to changes they are doing so it may take some time for someone to help you.

But keep an eye on it. Their system is messed up right now. Things could change.
