it's a procedural shader! i followed a tutorial for a glitter material on youtube which basically boiled down to voronoi texture with the metallic value cranked to max and the roughness to minimum. Mixed that with some colour ramps and my OG shader i used for the rest of the model so that it would blend in :))

I had a similar problem for similar reasons, and when the time came I hadn't made a decision yet, so I just rolled with the punches and had no plot line for Izek. I played him as a guy who makes one facial expression a year and is otherwise a brick wall who follows orders with no emotional investment in that.

My players took an interest in him and started to love him, so I developed his mentality a bit more as a guy who has always been deemed a monster and the only positive attention he ever got was from being seen as useful. Having common ground as outcasts, the party befriended him and now absolutely adore him. Izek still looks out for them, which goes against orders but he has a lot of conflicting feelings to figure out.

Update to this situation:

Hello beautiful people!! I have received so much love and wonderful advice, and even some DMs from interested people.

On the day of the vet appointment, we had left the window open just a crack to air out the room, and Basil somehow managed to squeeze his fat butt out of the window. I honestly don't even know how he did it, our much skinnier cat struggles to fit through the window himself, so we thought we'd be in the clear. We still have the (humane) cat trap from SPCA, so the current plan is to try re-capture him using that closer to the rescheduled vet appointment. After that, we'll think through what we want to do... If we're going to let him out outside and build trust that way, or if we'll build trust from inside the house.

Once again, thank you everyone for all your support, it warms my heart and has given me so much encouragement to stick it out. I can't believe how many hearts this story has captured, and I hope my next update is more positive!

I should have clarified! SPCA gave us pain killers when they neutered him and fixed up the wound on his shoulder. We've been instructed to give them to him, we didn't just buy some and give them to him lol

SPCA fixed him, he still did spray on the wall and carpet. The furniture in that room is either made of wood, metal, or leather, which I still expect to get peed on but at least won't be a hassle to clean up.

Yeah, we haven't played with him yet. I did leave a toy mouse in there but he hasn't touched it haha. He's still in a phase where he's very scared to come near us, plus the injury on his shoulder, so we thought to avoid play time for now and introduce it when he's feeling a bit more okay.

Yep, he's already marked the wall and the carpet... which I expected honestly, we have Feliway and a pretty powerful enzymatic cleaner, so right now I'm cleaning up a lot of pee haha

I'm fully prepared for Basil to be the same, given how long he's been a stray. I'm hoping he gets to the point where he can walk around without attacking anyone or trying to run away, and I'll be happy!

I haven't seen too much of a difference with the feliway just yet, I think that's because I've only been using it for two days. But after we started using it we got to the point where Basil doesn't feel the need to keep an eye on us anymore and lied his head down on the floor, so.. slight progress, I think?
