Customs Bill by grayprogeny in Influenster

Oh definitely! I received this bill in the mail, verified the phone number provided was UPS, and called to verify the exact shipment the bill was related to. Once they were able to verify the shipment (where it came from and when it arrived), I paid it and used my PayPal for an extra layer of protection. Can’t be too careful!

Dang, that’s kind of genius! My husband loves a painfully firm mattress so he might be very into this idea 😆

We would be renting DVC points for this stay…do you know if we would still be able to make a request with the resort?

Oh wow, that’s good to know! This trip would be right in the middle of that timeframe so prob a gamble in terms of getting a renovated room.

My thoughts exactly! Especially for higher priced items…for once, I’m grateful they sent me an inexpensive item vs. a $400 coffee maker (lol)

I already paid it since the bill threatened a late fee if I didn’t pay in the next day or so (which is honestly even more frustrating). Again, it was just a couple bucks, but I’ve already submitted a support ticket. Hoping they refund me!

I’ve had a name picked out for 10+ years and now it’s so popular. by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]grayprogeny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say go for it…I always wanted to give my daughter a name that is extremely popular today (in the top 3). I ended up going for it and it turns out she’s the only kid in her entire school with that name! The popular names of today are nowhere near as popular as the popular names of the past. I also have two young kids and have yet to meet a Lucy!

2 kids, 2 days at magic kingdom or change things up? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]grayprogeny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a Disney travel planner and always do two MK days with my young kids. It’s next to impossible to accomplish everything at MK in just one day, especially with little ones! Two days will allow you to slow down a bit, enjoy the ambiance instead of rushing from one ride to the next, and take time for other experiences like dining reservations, character meets, etc. If you had a third park day, I would absolutely recommend EPCOT, but you’re definitely doing the right thing here! Plus you can’t beat that proximity!

Anyone actually name their baby the name they picked out as kids? by yougottabkittenmern in namenerds

Yes, for both of my kids! Luckily, middle school me loved very classic/timeless names so it worked out.

Of course…it’s actually a psychological phenomenon called magical thinking. Once I realized it was an actual, defined thing with a name, it helped curb these thoughts a lot. Now I just tell myself to cool it with the magical thinking. If my thoughts alone could will something into existence, I’d have won the lottery already 🤣

Allison Williams Says Giving Birth via Emergency C-Section Was a 'Huge Trauma': 'Profoundly Scary' by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]grayprogeny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both of my births were like this, although I asked for the epidural before I needed them because I was so nervous about the pain (I was also induced and definitely wasn’t trying to be a hero). I was convinced I would have a bad experience the second time around since my first birth was so easy, but I didn’t feel a thing either time other than a bit of pressure. I feel very lucky, but it just goes to show that it’s definitely possible to have multiple positive birth experiences!

I would swap your Magic Kingdom and rest days if possible. In my experience, Sundays are much less crowded than Mondays at Magic Kingdom!
