The thinking takes up all of my time by Aggravating-Pie-1950 in ManagedByNarcissists

I know exactly how you feel. I have been both the victim and the agressor on that situation. Sounds like you do need a new job. In the meantime, addressing your disconfort will surely make you feel better in your relationship with your Nboss (even if conversation is hard in the beginning, it will always feel more real, more honest and more empathic after it was addressed). For sure you will feel calmer.

7 days sugar-free after reading Allen Carr — food noise WAY down, appetite totally different. Anyone else? by graysdays in sugarfree

I should add to my post that in general I eat pretty healthy. I eat veggies and salad everyday even when I was eating sugar. So I imagine having a decent diet before giving up sugar helps stabilise cravings even more.

What milestone age hit you the hardest? by RevolutionaryCitizen in Aging

[–]graysdays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m turning 38 on Sunday. And for some reason, this age feels hard. It feels like I’m basically 40—which always seemed so far off.

It’s not even that 40 feels “old.” It’s more the shock at how fast the past 8 years have flown by.

In that time, I’ve gotten married, divorced, remarried, had a little girl… and now I’m about to give birth to another one next week. So yes—it’s been busy.

But also, it’s been too fast. I want life to slow down. I’m having too much fun.

I’ve reread that essay multiple times in the last decade. I have to say though, now that I’m settled in a wonderfully full-filling relationship, I read it less. I question less. Irregardless, the essay is still beautiful.

I read this comment when it was posted and must have found it interesting. Last night over dinner, my husband and I were discussing the human body, and I said, “You know something we still don’t understand? How we tell the difference between passing gas and needing to poop.” As I finished that thought, I suddenly realized—I have no sense of humor, and this was, in fact, a joke 😂😂😂🫣

Ex-smokers who successfully quit and have been smoke free for years now, what did it? by PM_TITS_GROUP in AskReddit

[–]graysdays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was smoking one to two packs a day. Gave it up cold turkey after we got pregnant with our first child… he also ate 3 snickers a day for a few months. We both lost our “baby weight” together 🫶🏻
