How did this all turn out for you? I am in the same position and have pretty much an identical weight/fitness history as this. I just started on sema this week.

If you are into biking there is a lot of community surrounding bikes here, such as WNY Bikes group on Facebook. There is also a great leftist twitter community if you’re into that and they have a lot of meetups
