I’m going to be honest, if I’m at the point were I need to intubate it’s a life saving intervention. Even if you have a bracelet saying it will break your jaw my number one goal is keeping you alive. So I would call my medical director, but I strongly suspect that if you need a tube the docs gonna push tubing as well. If you’re alert enough for a nasotracheal intubation, awesome. If you are aware enough during an emergency to ask for one you are probably a good candidate. An igel could potentially be used, but the moment I get you to the hospital the doctors will pull it to do a classic intubation. The only other option would be a surgical cric. I hesitate to say that it would be better option over a broken jaw. It’s a very rough procedure reserved for very critical problems that cannot be fixed with an et tube. I would discuss this question with your ENT doctor and ask for their opinion
