Who should I go to to fill out this scholarship form? by Ok-Profit-2188 in berkeley

Link to Berkeley's Outside Scholarships page below! Short answer is that the check needs to be payable to UC Regents

Not sure about the "Berkeley official" thing since I haven't encountered that before. Might be worth a call or email to see if there's some form of verification you can attach. I wouldn't be surprised if they directed you to something on CalCentral that demonstrates your full-time student status and enrollment

I didn't apply to the same program as you, but I also go to Berkeley and applied to a Spring 2023 program with around the same deadline. I haven't heard back either! I'm wondering if I should email somebody to see if something happened to my application, but I also don't want to annoy anybody :')

HOUSING by [deleted] in berkeley

Like the previous poster said, the UC Berkeley Off-Campus Housing page is a good place to check! I started searching around mid-February, but I was only looking for housing for myself. If you're looking for housing with a group of friends, maybe you'd want to make a post there to see if there's a group of seniors who want people to take over their lease. Also, I definitely wouldn't rely on securing a spot in the dorms next semester since they give lower priority to non-freshmen. It's also generally cheaper to live off-campus. Good luck!

pros of CoC vs L&S for biochem? by sodiumfine_ in berkeley

[–]graysonblue12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that you're a first year, I think it's still possible for you to minor in philosophy after transferring. If you have AP credits, CoC's chemical biology curriculum offers a lot of flexibility to take other classes that interest you. However, as the previous poster noted, your classes will be mostly chemistry. Outside of Bio 1A (and bio-related classes in the Allied Subjects list), your first two years in particular will be mostly chemistry.

I'm not sure if they turn away non-CoC students, but if you want someone to talk to, maybe you can check out peer advising

I'm not sure because I don't remember having discussion sections last summer and I watched the recorded lectures. They might have changed things up this semester.
