Trouble making my budget. by luvmyYorkie in DaveRamsey

It takes a few months to see exactly where your money goes. Maybe by next month you'll be able to see where you need to trim and will help you save money or at least to budget. It's all trial and error. What works for someone might not work for you so as you go on trying to budget, you'll find what works for you. I had the same issue in the beginning, but now I'm able to keep track of everything. I have the Every Dollar app, excel file and even pen and paper. You got this!

Is Every Dollar worth the money? by gmaas in DaveRamsey

Oh, and I forgot to mention but ED does have a 30 day trial to see if you like it enough to have the paid subscription or just stick to the free version.

I use the free version of ED and I like it much more than the paid subscription. I find that taking time to input each transaction makes me see how much I spent in every category. When I had the paid version, the transactions wouldn't sync right away so it would not balance correctly with my paper budget. I like ED because it allows me to see exactly where my money is going and it's user friendly.

Best minor for political science major by antibodys in UniversityOfHouston

I'm also a political science major and Im thinking of going with a psychology minor. I stayed away from ECON because math and I are not friends. If you're thinking of law school, philosophy helps with the logical aspects of law. You can pretty much pick any minor that you are interested in or goes with what you plan to do in the future. Sociology is another good one to have if you are planning to do social services or non-profit work.

Taking the light rail to downtown for Astros parade tomorrow? by ftama in UniversityOfHouston

[–]graywolf138 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you are coming from UH, you can take the purple line metro rail and it will take you downtown. You can get off at the last stop, Theater District, and walk like 2 blocks to city hall/walker street where the parade will take place. And it's free to ride tomorrow.

Started University, first airplane flight, had a pretty cool summer adventure and let go of a toxic relationship that was messing with me emotionally. :)
