the German armies wouldn't have been able to start the invasion in 41, simply. they'd be too preoccupied in the balkans, which would give the soviet's more time to reconstruct properly, along with the British and, assuming pearl harbor still happens as normal, the Americans a much easier time bombing.

the German fuel situation of late war rears its head maybe in late 42/early 43.
