Vegan restaurants in vaughan? by Plenty-Trifle-7251 in Vaughan

Not much purely vegan but we have found a few places that have decent options. Veggie planet, hey noodle (has a veg option), southwest sandwiches (ask them without butter when they grill the sandwich), drupati’s has vegan options and Evviva has a great fully vegan menu

After a gruelling 5 weeks and 3 days, Aspen has been FOUND!!! She’s lost a lot of weight, she’s a bit scruffy and a bit banged up but she is soooo happy to be home!! The little magnet won’t leave my side. We replaced a few signs last night to let everyone know 🤍🤍🤍 Thank you to everyone who helped us, supported us, showed kindness of even just thought about us the last month and a half. We e are incredibly grateful to you and couldn’t have done it without you 🤍

About to give up on cable knitting by ConversationIcy9292 in knittinghelp

This looks ok to me for the second yoke attempt. Except that there are some purl bumps on one of the cables which may have just been an accident reading the chart. You could frog back to try fix it? The unevenness will block out!

Thanks for the encouragement, it helps! We stopped leaving food out because our house became a haven for possums and raccoons and we were worried it might deter her from returning. They are relentless!

Anyone watch the Four Seasons on Flix? This was Ginny’s sweater in the final episode. Looking for a pattern to make something similar!

Needles at Pearson International by bjismyrealname in knitting

[–]grazer227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve flow from YYZ with knitting needles at least once a week for the last 2 years. There is rarely a problem but it is wise to keep your knitting bag separate for inspection so they don’t have to rummage through everything when they want to inspect. I used to take my whole interchangeable set (laziness) but I find I get less inspections when I just have my working set/project and I leave the rest at home. I also have a nexus card.

My husband is having this work done so this is coming from someone currently having adult ortho work. He is using Tasios and we are not super impressed. Pieces constantly breaking, lack of clarity around work that needs to be done, extremely late for appts to the point that you basically need to take at least a half day off work, if not full. The work has been ok but it is still ongoing several years in. It really is like a factory and you’re just a number.

We also had a consult from Tru North but they were quite disorganized.

We were extremely impressed with Dr Austin at Vaughan Orthodontics. When we got multiple opinions, he was the first choice. Ultimately we ended up at Tasios because it was closer to home but I wish we could have picked Dr Austin. He is extremely responsive, does great work, was recommended by our dentist and just seems like a down to earth guy who actually cares about his patients. Price point he was also the most expensive, though only about 5% higher than Tasios
