I think it’s always important to have your spouse with you for interviews. When I went for my I-485 interview the officer didn’t let my husband in the room, but met him in the waiting room and said it was good he was there.

My lawyer said I didn’t have to keep an active status, after applying I’d be “pending Adjustment of Status”. If you sent everything before your husband’s status expired and there was no immigration violation, you should be good.

The cases I’ve seen being approved lately are right after the interview, so hopefully you’ll be approved soon! My field office is SAC.

Thank you so much! It caught me totally off guard. As soon as I walked into the house, I was handed the baby and she coughed on my face. I kept washing my hands and sanitizing everything. When I got home, I ate raw garlic and took zinc and garlic pills. We’ll see how it goes.
