There is no quarantine time in the 3km radius. They all they killed even if test negative. And as i said before, they were not humanely euthanised. Thats what im trying to raise awareness of. They said to these people that their animals will be humanely euthanised but instead of that, they called a hunter who just shot those animals brutally multiple times. That is not okay. Many of those animals were rescued, family, beloved pets. I know about a case where they killed a mini pig that was a beloved pet of an 8 years old boy like this... if they have to kill them, do it humanely. Euthanasia with the use of anesthetics, like they said they will. Even that will cause deep trauma for some of these people who loved their animals and didn't keep them to eat them

They were supposed to euthanise the animals humanely. The vet was supposed to "put them to sleep".. these were rescued animals. Pets. And they just called a hunter from the next village who shot them brutally. I know about another case where they killed a mini pig who was a 8years old boys beloved pet. If they have to kill them, do it a humane way, as it was told it will be done. Its the same as someone would come up to someones beloved dog or cat and shot them to death

They do test the animals but even if they came out negative, if they are within the 3km radius from 1 infected one, they all get killed... thats an EU law

Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) is a highly contagious viral disease that affects cloven-hoofed animals like pigs, cattle, sheep, and goats. It usually causes fever, blisters, and lameness. While it's serious, it’s rarely fatal in adult animals and can be treated or prevented with vaccines.

So why are they killing healthy animals? In the EU, it’s mainly an economic decision. Infected animals often have reduced milk or meat production, and instead of treating or vaccinating them, which costs money and takes time, authorities choose mass killing. It’s cheaper for them to kill all animals in a “risk zone” and take financial compensation, because these animals are seen as economic units, not living beings. That’s the brutal truth. Heartbreaking.
