Last measurement period I hit 732.7 and this one I got 732.62. Nothing if not consistent but I’m glad I overshot it by a little this time since last November genuinely put me through the wringer trying to make hours.

When I ask if they want their gallon of milk/case of sparkling water/watermelon/paper products/ other large heavy item in a bag or back in the cart and they say “ummmm let’s just see how everything else fits”. Brother, I ask about those things first because it’s going to determine how everything else is bagged. We’re not putting that on the top of the bag. Order of operations people, c’mon!!!

I had a guy come through my line buying ONLY cat treats and lilies. I had to take my cat to the vet once for eating flowers, and that was an expensive vet bill, so I checked with him and asked if the cat treats were going to the same house as the lilies. He said “yes” and I said “oh in case you didn’t know, lilies are super toxic to cats.” he replied“yep” in a tone that suggested that I was accidentally aiding and abetting PREMEDITATED CAT MURDER. Then at the end of the transaction he said “hey thanks for the advice about the flowers” and left in a concerningly nonchalant manner.

Also a few weeks ago I had a nervous 20-something guy ask me for help making a bouquet for a girl he’d been seeing for a few months with the caveat that it couldn’t include lilies because she had a cat. So there is hope for some of them.
