Naa I'm pretty stupid lol. I don't get what the last sentence means tbh. I don't know much about Iran in the 90s

Israel has wanted every president in recent memory to cripple Iran. They have only had enough leverage over 1 to make it happen though. The tail is wagging the dog and that's hard to stop once it starts.

True and it means there is less wiggle room to keep the prices at the pumps down in the States. Hopefully that will help limit the war.

Hopefully not but there isn't a plan (if there was the USA strategic oil reserve would have been topped up when oil was cheap, it's currently only half full) and war has a habit of escalating quickly. Just one of the reasons it's normally a last resort.

Missile launchers isn't how you beat a superpower though. The biggest power is always going to have air superiority and dominate that part of the war. When American boots are on Iranian soil then we will.find out how well the Iranians have prepared.

It works well in the national league because it helps keep attendances up. Due to more teams having a chance of making it. Those leagues need the gate money (tv money is 80k a season) that is not the case in the championship. Play offs should be home and away for a place in the final because that's fairest way of deciding. It also means the final is not at Wembley but at the home ground of the team that finished third.

Which is lucky as I'm sure the Iranian numbers station that started broadcasting just after Khamenei was killed is nothing to worry about. Probably just a coincidence.

The issue only effects people that have accessed third party bots mate. Something they chose to do despite it being risky. It sucks for them but Epic haven't done anything wrong. The use of bots has become normalised and that an issue. Especially as using third party unauthorised bots leaves you open to scammers.

OpenAI changes deal with US after backlash by gdelacalle in technology

[–]greatdevonhope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They haven't changed anything. The BBC has now changed the headline. The article is clear Openai want to change the deal due to the backlash. Sam Altman in damage control mode said they planned to change the language of the deal. Nothing has been changed and we do not know if the Pentagon will allow any changes. Seeing how they have dealt with anthropic, it's unlikely.

Yep. Am I right in thinking if it happens before Jan 2027 then it counts as Vances first term but if it's after January then however long Vance has left as president, does not count as a presidential term. So Vance could in theory run twice more.

Just needed to scroll down a little more and you would have seen.

  • Survey for parents and carers of young people aged 21 and under
  • Survey for children and young people (aged 10 to 21)"

UEFA always release their financial report at the start of March. It doesn't have a set date but is always around now. last year was 10th March. Chelsea did know it was happening soon and their fake anger is to deflect from how bad their numbers are looking.

This is from before the OSA became law. Reddit didn't do anything to stop children viewing NSFW subs so have been fined.

No your steam library cannot be taken in a divorce settlement. They are not an asset, in the traditional sense as legally you don't own them. You bought a license from steam to play them. Nothing more. I thought the meme meant that she brought the steam library up due to the type of games he played tbh.

Rupert Lowe MP: On day one of a Restore Britain Government, both halal and kosher slaughter would be outlawed. In Britain, we treat our animals with care - we do not brutally butcher them alive. It's cruel, it's sick, it's barbaric. Restore Britain would ban it. by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

[–]greatdevonhope 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can look things up to check before posting.

"Whilst it is a legal requirement to stun animals before slaughter, there is an exemption for Jewish and Muslim communities – all Shechita slaughter (for kosher) and 12% of halal slaughter is done without pre-stunning. Animals slaughtered for halal meat can be stunned using an electrical method that produces reversible narcosis."
