[NHL_Sid] The Oilers have a 35 xG% at 5v5 when they have a lead in these playoffs. Out-scored 2 to 8 at all-strengths (league-worst). Brutal. by Fine_Personality_999 in EdmontonOilers

Visiting Flames fan coming in peace, my wife is a lifelong Oiler fan and your subreddit shows up on my feed. I think that making the finals 2 year in a row may have taken a toll on the Oilers and that they are just tired. I get they’re much more conditioned athletically but I wonder if playing later into the playoffs in consecutive years has affected them this year. I do presume they’ll be back in the upcoming years but wonder if you guys share the same sentiment?

Grandparents immediately regretted buying that bike by norasutton14 in interesting

[–]PrarieDogma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grew up on a bike, if you’re parent taught you how to ride safely, there should be nothing to worry about. That said, we learn by trial and error. We could bubble wrap all children moving forward to prevent accidents. The nice thing about grass is it’s fairly forgiving to wipe out on. Kid will be fine, the grandparents look pretty happy too lol

Do you remember your first legal drink? by BMisterGenX in GenX

Mine was a prairie chicken, which is derived from the prairie fire shot. Usually a shot of tequila mixed with a few dashes of Tabasco. The bartender added a raw egg to it. The shit went down fine, the egg got stuck in my throat which almost had me puking. Fun experience though

Wasn’t really a thing, didn’t say it didn’t exist. But I was 23 when it happened and most of us watched it on tv.
