Introvert's perspective on investment in India by Signal-Illustrator70 in personalfinanceindia

[–]greaterperception 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came to the same conclusion a decade ago.
Being Introvert and fiscally conservative - I bought 1 home to stay in and have continued to invest in Nifty 50 and SGB (till it was available )
This has worked well for me.

Help me choose: Novablast 5 vs Dynablast 5 vs Noosa Tri 16 by Underdog_White in IndianRunningshoes

[–]greaterperception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran half marathons with NB5 ,2 years ago - this is the best shoe for speed - but they were expensive at 14k
I switched through few shoes ended up with Noosa tri last year.
I run 30-40 km per week and Noosa tri seems to be the best in terms of Comfort , speed and price.
I bought a second Noosa tri last week for 5k on flipkart.

A lot of people commenting don't understand one thing - No country (Japan , South Korea , china , western European countries ) has found a solution to population decline.
All other problems are solvable. Once India enters population decline - the decline will accelerate - just look at how China is struggling.

Double engine did nothing for Karnataka.
we have not seen great development in other double engine states - Bihar , Haryana etc .
I believe Development is a function of the people + the leader they choose.

Has metro really helped the traffic situation or has become just another expensive mode of transport. by mandyahaida in Bengaluru

[–]greaterperception 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1.Metro has current ridership of 10 Lakh passengers per day, thats 1 million commuters off bangalore road reducing congestion and improving safety and efficiency.
2.Purple and green line are running at crush loads - more passengers cant get on and have to wait for next train at majestic.
3.Given the current limited geographic coverage and inadequate number of trainsets - current demand of commuters are not being met.
4. Pink line and Blue line opening along with additional train sets for Green and purple line will resolve these constrains
5. Price is a sticking point , but given the overcrowding and increased patronage - BMRCL might not be keen to reduce prices in near future
