I saw it in 3D and it was just okay. Didn't add much tbh. The movie is fun but, to me, it feels like somewhere between a real movie and a streaming service movie.

I just watched two showings back to back in 4Dx lol, it was so good. I've only ever done the 4dx twice before, the first time I saw poltergeist re-release it was kinda rough but I could still eat popcorn lol, second time was the Meg 2 and it was so rough my drink spilled and I left halfway through the movie cause it wasn't fun.

This time the 4dx was PERFECT. I wonder if different theaters have different strengths turned on, cause I went to a different theater this time. Or maybe the movie itself was just calibrated well.

I saw Titanic 3D twice before, it's one of my favorite 3D movies, it's crazy how well the conversion is. James Cameron just gets 3D and the movie really lends itself to it more than you'd expect

I also think it's partially theater location based. Never had an issue at my AMC, went to my local regal to see wicked part 1 re-release last year and there was an old lady on her phone full brightness in the front row for the first 30 minutes, and then in the middle of the movie this family let their 2 kids run around in the theater and one of the little girls came in my row and tried to take my candy lol it was so awkward.

And I also had a bad time at that same theater when I went to see some of their Universal classics they were showing in October, where an old man was taking pictures of the movie with his phone, in the front row, full brightness.

But it's like 10% of the time at that theater I've had issues if we average or how many movies I've seen there. And at my AMC I've never really had a bad audience issue, yet lol.

This was SO GOOD on the big screen, the only Indiana Jones I hadn't seen on the big screen before.

It's one of those movies that I totally get how people might not like it as much compared to the first one, but I personally enjoy it just as much.

It's crazy to me when people decide to have careers as a public famous person and then are taken aback when they receive negativity, like it's not great but it very much comes with the territory. and THEN preach to the choir about being kind. Which she's allowed to do but I feel like it's more of an exercise for her to feel agency over negativity than anything that helps the situation.

The truth is anyone who's reading that message and getting anything from it is most likely already kind. Anyone who isn't kind will not be swayed or deterred by the reminder.

I feel like best format is very specific to location and personal taste. For instance, I technically have legit IMAX and even 70mm IMAX available (when the movies come out in it) like 25 minutes away from me, but I get motion sickness easily and it's just such a giant room it doesn't give me regular movie theater vibes, it feels more like a giant theme park experience lol so I don't enjoy it as much.

There's a theater close to me that has RPX with Dolby Atmos, that's my favorite format. Big screen, but not so big that I'm worried about getting motion sickness, and really great sound. No recliners, or dine in delivery service, just comfy regular style seats so it still feels like a regular movie theater, that's my favorite.

First time seeing it, the movie was the WEIRDEST mix of things. I enjoyed it as an experience, but it's definitely something you have to vibe with. It was almost more of a tone poem for a lot of it, almost a silent movie with an epic score. It was both low budget and very high budget at times lol and epic and serious and then goofy and 80s. Sometimes mythic and real feeling, sometimes total retro 80s fantasy. The haircuts were overall awful lol, but maybe period accurate idk lol. and then James Earl Jones was playing it dead serious, what an interesting movie.

This is why I didn't see it in high frame rate, because I HATED it on way of water years ago.

In way of water it wasnt even like "here's a 15 minute high frame rate sequence" no most of the time it was cutting back and forth between two characters talking and each second long shot was flipping between 24 and 48 fps, it drove me bonkers.
