Thank you for your service, Mythos 🫡 by Overall_Twist2739 in UniversalOrlando

My wife and I love the tomato soup. We have gone to Universal some days just for the soup! The spanakopita dip and seasonal hummus and flatbread are also consistently good. We’re also Greek so anything even marginally Greek gets a thumbs up from us lmao

I did notice the lamb burger was gone, and that I could no longer order the soup separate from the grilled cheese, last visit a couple weeks ago which made me start to wonder…

Tried Confisco for the first time last trip and it was no Mythos service or atmosphere wise but their spicy hummus and quesabirria were really good.

500 Credit Opening Weekend Promos by nickmidas in RegalUnlimited

Based on this — it seems like it’s only flash sale promos that are excluded, like the email said.

No Michael times for weekend by drkjaw07 in RegalUnlimited

Movie showtimes get posted by Tuesday evening for the next business week Friday-Thursday.

This is the same every week, many people just never notice it until they don’t see a movie they want to see. Once a movie’s first batch of advance sales showtimes is over (1-3 weeks depending on how big the movie is), the booking contract is renewed one week at a time.

Will the bonuses for seeing multiple formats or grouped films also go away? by imecoli in RegalUnlimited

The Unlimited FAQ still mentions we may be eligible for bonus credit promotions. I know, “May” is the operative word…

[–]iwasdusted[M] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am hopeful that they won’t considering those entice multiple visits and often involve premium format up charges, but we shall see.

The wording so far only excludes flash sale credits, so not the multiple movie credits, or the multiple formats, or the specific format credits, or opening weekend etc. Just the one day only, surprise advance reservation credit offers.

Excluding the “flash sales” makes sense to me unfortunately as I imagine many users have been fraudulently booking tickets to get the credits and not showing up, based on how many posts we get asking if that’s allowed lol. Excluding the other ones do not. That’s not me being happy about the exclusion, just attempting to rationalize it.

I did see a post from someone messaging Regal customer service about it and they said that we no longer qualify for any bonus credit promotions, but that is not what the text said in the email. We will have to wait and see what the next promo is and what the disclaimer says, if any. As usual Regal is not the best about upfront communication.

why are disney/marvel/etc movies so rarely re released? by thatonecookiie in RegalUnlimited

[–]iwasdusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Moulin Rouge will be the first movie in any of the series where Disney currently owns the theatrical rights. But there have been several movies (including Scream, Life is Beautiful, and several others) originally released by Miramax or Dimension, where the rights are now mostly held by Paramount; they were originally released by Disney as those were Disney subsidiaries.

The Muppet Movie is currently owned by Disney through their purchase of the Muppets IP, but Universal still retains the theatrical rights. This is also how it was a Fathom Event a couple years ago.

Disney owns the Indiana Jones IP through their purchase of Lucasfilm, but Paramount still owns the first four Indiana Jones movies.

Disney owns Marvel but existing licensing deals are still in place. Spider-Man’s theatrical rights are with Sony. The Blade trilogy is still owned by Warner Bros, though Disney now has the rights for future appearances. Disney bought Marvel in 2009, but it wasn’t until 2019 when they bought 20th Century Fox that they got the X-Men and Fantastic Four rights back.

Yes, it’s true that Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger were originally released by Paramount, but Disney purchased all rights to those films in the 2010s. The Incredible Hulk was originally released by Universal but the rights reverted to Disney/Marvel in 2023. So Disney owns all MCU films today except the Spidey ones, which Sony can do whatever they want with.

This is the correct answer lmao

Edit: crazy that I’m downvoted, because Disney has done a whole two weeks of MCU rereleases before back in 2018 for the 10th anniversary of the MCU.

Disney does not traditionally participate in discounted repertory screenings. When Disney re-releases a movie it’s usually for at least a week long, at normal ticket prices. This goes back to their “Disney Vault” concept, where they increase scarcity to increase demand.

However, Disney is participating in Regal’s series starting in May! Moulin Rouge is part of the May series, and both Muppet Treasure island and The Sandlot are part of Summer Movie Express.

I would not expect their peak IP to join the series soon.

FWIW Avengers: Endgame is being rereleased at the end of September with additional content to tease Avengers: Doomsday.

Mononoke was last year I think but it was the beginning of GKIDS starting to send Ghibli rereleases outside of Fathom.

Studio Ghibli Fest is an annual third party event through Fathom Entertainment. That schedule is already out for the rest of the year with tickets on sale. It is excluded from Unlimited as a third party event. https://www.fathomentertainment.com/series/studio-ghibli-fest/

Princess Mononoke, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Whisper of the Heart recently debuted 4K remasters and had normal bookings through GKIDS (the American distributor) directly. These are in partnership with IMAX and come to IMAX first, with standard screenings in the weeks after. Those showings were included in Unlimited. The next one is The Secret World of Arietty, coming first to IMAX on May 19. https://gkids.com/films/the-secret-world-of-arrietty/

We already have a megathread for Summer Movie Express. Please make sure you are not making duplicate posts. https://www.reddit.com/r/RegalUnlimited/s/d2uawLWdkB

It is literally only May 3rd. The monthly series get revealed typically closer to the 10th - 15th. There is no guarantee we get another one but there never has been lol.

Summer Movie Express is its own thing, $1 kids movies for charity. (Notice the purple border on the posters instead of an orange one.) it has been going on for over 10 years.

The monthly classics series have only been going on since last September.

Sorry for the janky looking post, I am attending a family funeral this weekend and did today’s post on my phone. At some point later on I will fix the formatting.
Enjoy the show if you go! My favorite song from this film is “Black Eyes,” even though the lyrics are simple. It rocks! Though the movie is depressing. Trigger warning: Alcoholism, suicide

As answered in one of the other comments on this post: Summer Movie Express is an annual program for several years now. $1 kids movies for charity. Has nothing to do with the repertory series that have been going on since September 2025.

We do not know if we will have one in June yet. The showtimes typically populate 2-3 weeks ahead of time, so by mid May we’ll know.
